SUMMARY

 

The Business System Analyst assists in the development, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of production systems necessary for the companies prepress workflows. This includes, but is not limited to, internal and external communication, workflow databases and servers, workstation and server configuration. Will also work on research, development, training, tutorials, job simplification and automation, etc. with other employees on a regular basis, under the direction of the Graphic Develop Manager. They should understand and align business operations and Graphics as he/she executes their role to exceed customer expectations and align with GPI business, cultural, financial, and operational objectives.

 

JOB FUNCTIONS:  Job functions to include, but are not limited to the following.

 

Must work within and adhere to the company’s core values of Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Relationships and Teamwork

Maintain and develop the graphic prepress workflows

Maintenance and troubleshooting of server software and hardware

Database maintenance and troubleshooting

Conduct daily and archival data backups

Maintain documentation of new and current production systems

 

Project Based duties:

 

Develop systems to accommodate new areas of prepress business

Develop database-driven, automated prepress production systems

Evaluate and implement new prepress production hardware and software

Develop training modules in regard to new technology

 

Required Skills:

Working knowledge of both Mac OS/Linux and Windows operation systems (including server systems)

Back-End Web development and interface design – HTML, CSS, Javascript, XML, PHP

Proficient in these programming languages, specifically Python, Applescript, MS Visual Basic

Proficient with databases, specifically Filemaker, PostgreSQL

Familiarity with JDF (Job Definition Format)

Familiarity with Prepress systems, Prinergy, Esko, Adobe Suite

 

Required Experience:

Four-year degree preferred or compensatory closely related work experience required in lieu of degree.

Salary Min:   $63,175.00

Salary Mid:   $84,265.00

Salary Max:  $105,355.00
