Position Title: Maintenance/Planner/Scheduler  (Mill)                                 

Organizational Unit: Mill Division                                                                                                  

MISSION / SUMMARY:

This position supports the shutdown/outage maintenance planning functions and utilizes a systems approach to coordinate the estimating and planning of both mechanical and electrical work for major outages. The scope of work will include job scoping, labor estimating, material identification and procurement for outage/shutdowns such as monthly and annual outages.

JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include,but are not limited to the following.

  • Support planning activities for the area supervisor and area maintenance technicians
  • Create job plans for repetitive maintenance procedures
  • Manage SAP work order backlog for area of responsibility, including mechanical and electrical work orders
  • Attend/participate in all area safety related meetings/initiatives
  • Plan, estimate cost and completion time, schedule jobs in area of responsibility
  • Order and manage parts for work orders
  • Maintain professional working relationships with vendors.
  • Leads shutdown planning and scheduling activities
  • Maintain an accurate and up to date work order list in SAP using proper codes
  • Estimated hours by operation step
  • Ensure parts are delivered and on site for all planned work order
  • Meet all job planning package requirements
  • Bill of material management and optimization
  • Manage repairable / rebuilds

BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 5 (five) years of Maintenance experience
  • Minimum of 2 (two)years on Maintenance Planning experience with knowledge of recognize maintenance planning practices.
  • Up to 20% travel requirement

EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of related training and experience

  • Ability to estimate man hours for maintenance work (electrical and mechanical)

SCHEDULE DEMANDS:

  • General schedule is an 8-hour+ M-F assignment, however, employee must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so.
  • Must be willing to work as of the weekend duty rotating schedule.
  • Occasional overnight travel to include flying, driving, riding or by rail. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Sitting or standing for extended periods of time up to 8-hours.
  • Occasional Lifting up to 20 lbs.
  • Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.
  • Use of various office hand and electrical tools or equipment.
