Position Mission / Summary

 

As a Staff Accountant reporting to the Controller, you will be providing the financial input to our business decision making with the aim of maximizing long-term value, cash flows and shareholder return. The ideal candidate will have three to five years in an accounting role and will provide accurate and timely financial reporting to ensure we meet our business objectives. In addition, this position will offer the opportunity to work with cross functional teams to analyze data, provide management with a fair assessment of key projects including how we can optimize it in a way that helps to generate superior business results for the company; as well as support continuous improvement activities to achieve world class financial reporting standards.

 

Position Scope

 

Key processes include monthly close, monthly financial forecasts and annual operating plans. Responsibilities also include analysis and evaluation of the seven Plant’s monthly operating results, annual budgets, monthly production and financial forecasts, and weekly results reporting. Provide analytical support for cross functional projects including, but not limited to, customer profitability analysis and pricing etc.

 

Position Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.

 

  • Analysis of month end results: P&L and Balance Sheet including variance analysis
  • Support the development of month end results package for the Plant’s to present to Senior Management
  • Support monthly close including Balance Sheet reconciliation and accurate Revenue and Expense oversight.
  • Conduct weekly reviews of production order variances to identify unusual variances and report root cause.
  • Provide monthly financial forecasts and analysis.
  • Ad hoc financial analysis of financial and operating metrics to support business requirement.
  • Support the development and analysis of the annual operating plan.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a Business-related field required.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel. Knowledge of PowerPoint and other Office tools
  • Strong analytical skills preferred.

 

Required Experience:

  • 1-4 years in an Accounting/ Finance role
  • QuickBooks experience a plus
  • SAP systems experience a plus

 

 

Accountant II/Staff Accountant

Seeking those who are:

  • Dominant personality
  • Self-starter: raise their hand, pick up the phone and ask for help (cannot sit still and be frustrated)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel: pivot tables and v-lookups
  • SAP experience, preferred, but not required.
  • Interpersonal skills are an absolute must.
  • Manufacturing experience is desired, not required.
  • Work well in a demanding environment.
  • Need to be there at the beginning and end of the month to work.
  • Prioritize time and tasks.

 

Salary Min:   $52,250.00

Salary Mid:   $69,635.00

Salary Max:  $87,020.00
