{"tool":"get_job","result":{"requisitionId":"14047","client":"GPI Filter Frame","title":"Operative","description":"<p><strong><u>Primary Responsibilities are, but not limited to the following:</u></strong></p><p> </p><ul><li>Works as a leader of the crew, overseeing operator, operator assistants, feeders, packers, and inspectors working on the machine.</li><li>Works as the acting production supervisor as needed.</li><li>Must be supportive and involved in GPI efforts for LEAN, 5’s, Six Sigma and other Continuous Improvement programs and processes.</li><li>Operates production machinery in accordance with prints and specifications.</li><li>Strives for operational excellence within established specifications and tolerances to achieve standard.</li><li>Obtains job tickets and reviews prior to running orders.</li><li>Measures finished parts with precision tools, ensuring compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications.</li><li>Maintains logs and records of units produced including a record of errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces.</li><li>Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.</li><li>Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.</li><li>Ensures that production lead and machine hand-off occur during shift changes.</li><li>Performs preventative maintenances.</li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned.</li><li>Set and enforce break and lunch schedule in accordance with company policy.</li><li>Ensures KPIs are met with Make Ready Time, Scrap Generated, Pieces Made, MSF run, and downtime.</li><li>Monitor Ignition use to be compliant by operators.</li></ul><p> </p><p> </p><p><strong>Required Skills/Abilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to follow directions and work well in a team environment</li><li>Ability to interpret and translate designs and documentation</li><li>Trains and enforces compliances on established best practices with all personnel</li><li>Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li>Ability to troubleshoot, adjust, and debug the equipment and production lines required in house or at the customers facility</li><li>Thorough attention to detail</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Basic computer and data entry skills</li><li>Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations, to include LOTO and GPI’s 7 Safety Absolutes</li><li>Visual color discrimination, the ability to match or detect differences between colors, including shades of colors</li><li>Ability to work under minimal supervision</li><li>Good attendance</li><li>Strong leadership skills <strong>responsible for overseeing a production team</strong>, ensuring safety, quality standards are met, and maintaining operational efficiency. </li><li>Coordinate and supervise the daily production activities of assigned staff</li><li>Ensure that production goals and objectives are met in a timely and efficient manner</li><li>Monitor production performance, identify areas of improvement, and take corrective action as needed</li></ul><p> </p><br><p><strong>JOB SUMMARY: </strong>Safely and efficiently facilitates the printing, cutting, and packing processes of filter frame finished goods.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>JOB FUNCTIONS: </strong><em>Job functions include, but are not limited to the following</em><em>:</em></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Experienced in duties of qualified Roll Fed Cutting Operator, including make readies, operation, trouble shooting, and training of associates.</li><li>Experienced on cutting machinery similar to Zerand Roll Fed Cutters.</li><li>Adherence to all safety requirements and enforcement of same requirements with associates on cutter.</li><li>Adherence to documented 5S/Housekeeping expectations.</li><li>Provide daily quality checklist when inspecting pallets during cutting process. Perform both hourly hand checks and device driven score bend checks every 3 hours of run time.</li><li>Verify current job specifications match current production to include board width and caliper, print quality, print color, filter frame layout, score bend within specification, pallet size and pallet count.</li><li>Before Make Ready – verify proper materials that match the job jacket are prepped and ready at the cutter – this includes die, spot sheet, pin cylinder, ink, plates, doctor blades, pans, pallets and rolls of paper.</li><li>Ability to run job with expected quality and rate.</li><li>Set expectations for team in adherence with management expectations surrounding safety, quality, and productivity. </li><li>Train associates to assist in the required activities to maximize cutter uptime.</li><li>Perform make ready and preventive maintenance activities, including lubrication.</li><li>Keeps daily time and materials usage reports and records information for production tracking.</li><li>Disassembles machines to perform minor repairs or replace broken or worn parts, using hand tools.</li><li>Perform hand packing, as needed.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Manufacturing experience preferred</li><li>Experience operating hand jacks and forklifts preferred</li><li>To perform this job successfully, an individual must have excellent attendance, be able to work independently and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. </li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>SKILLS:</strong></p><ul><li>LANGUAGE SKILLS - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
