Made Possible.</strong></p><p><br> </p><br><div><div style='padding: 10px 0px;border: 1px solid transparent;'><div style='font-size:16px;word-wrap: break-word;'><H2 style='font-size: 1em; margin: 0px'>JOB SUMMARY:</H2>&#13;</div><div><p>The Project Engineer is responsible for providing management and engineering support for capital projects.  Initiates and supports continuous process improvement efforts while supporting Lean/Six Sigma efforts.  Provides continual support to all departments.  Works under minimal supervision.</p></div></div><div style='padding: 10px 0px;border: 1px solid transparent;'><div style='font-size:16px;word-wrap: break-word;'><H2 style='font-size: 1em; margin: 0px'>ESSENTIAL DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES:</H2>&#13;</div><div><ul><li>Provide technical expertise and leadership in the engineering disciplines to all departments to assist in development, conceptual, design, and performance.</li><li>Initiates and provides engineering cost evaluation, design, and implementation of plant projects.</li><li>Responsible for project management including machine design &amp; integration, scheduling, planning, and cost estimation.</li><li>Prepare complex machine layouts and detailed drawings in accordance with Engineering Standards and Factory Mutual safe practices.</li><li>Develops new or improved techniques or procedures by creative and innovative application of broad engineering disciplines to achieve “state-of-the-art” technologies. </li><li>Conducts research in problem areas of major scope and complexity.</li><li>Performs or directs the preparation of engineering studies and/or design documents consistent with recognized standards and project requirements.  Ensures proper level of technology is applied in new or existing designs and maintains accurate files of various projects.</li><li>Select equipment and plan and oversee installation for various projects.</li><li>Negotiate contracts for capital purchases.</li><li>Additional duties as assigned.</li><li>Responsible for compliance with all facility food safety, food defense, and quality policies and procedures including product safety (GMPs)/Sanitation policies and procedures.  Employee must continually work to promote the orderliness and cleanliness of their work area in support of SQF/5S and other company standards.</li><li>Must be supportive and involved in GPI efforts for LEAN, 5S, Six Sigma and other Continuous Improvement programs and processes.</li><li>Performs all other duties as assigned.</li><li>Strives to clearly understand customer requirements and delivers results to meet or exceed customer expectations.</li><li>Ability and responsibility to stop any process that is not meeting food safety requirements.</li></ul></div></div><div style='padding: 10px 0px;border: 1px solid transparent;'><div style='font-size:16px;word-wrap: break-word;'><H2 style='font-size: 1em; margin: 0px'>Safe Quality Food Responsibilities:</H2>&#13;</div><div><ul><li>Follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods. </li><li>Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures. </li><li>Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required. </li><li>Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF). </li><li>Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation<br /><br /></li></ul></div></div><div style='padding: 10px 0px;border: 1px solid transparent;'><div style='font-size:16px;word-wrap: break-word;'><H2 style='font-size: 1em; margin: 0px'>Minimum Qualifications</H2>&#13;</div><div><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and 5-8 years of experience in a manufacturing, preferably folding cartons or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li><li>Excellent written and veal communications skills</li><li>5 – 8 years of experience with Auto Cad design software preferred</li><li>Proficient use of MS Office Applications.</li><li>Ability to manage projects, resources and people and set and meet target disciplines</li><li>Ability to develop improvements, achieve budget/cost constraints</li></ul></div></div><div style='padding: 10px 0px;border: 1px solid transparent;'><div style='font-size:16px;word-wrap: break-word;'><H2 style='font-size: 1em;
