Made Possible.</strong></p><p> </p><br><div><div style='padding: 10px 0px;border: 1px solid transparent;'><div style='font-size:16px;word-wrap: break-word;'><H2 style='font-size: 1em; margin: 0px'>Job Details</H2>&#13;</div><div><p>A Blanker Operator is responsible to maintain the operation of the Blanking Department by producing blanks required by the blanker schedule. The Blanker Operator is responsible for promoting safety, quality, and sanitation in order to avoid product defects and contamination. Machine operators will ensure quality through visual inspection of the blank along with making machine adjustments on an as needed basis. In addition, machine operators will perform and complete other work as assigned by the supervisor and assist other operators as necessary. </p><p>3.    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES:  </p><p>a.    At arrival of production area, employee is to gather required operating materials to run scheduled order.</p><p>b.    Check schedule to determine machine number that employee is to run for the shift.</p><p>c.    Employee inspects the assigned blanker to ensure all guards are in place. Assess roll alignment, brakes, housekeeping and paperwork. Once completed, employee will run their machine. Notify Lead Operator of any failures. </p><p>d.    Operators are expected to monitor the quality of the blanks and print quality continuously during production. If there are any quality issues, the operator is responsible for making minor adjustments to the machine.  If the adjustments do not solve the issue, the lead operator should be notified. If lead operator is unable to solve the issue, maintenance should be notified and the machine turned over.</p><p>e.    During every production run, the operator is required to complete roll changes or print changes on the machine as required on the schedule. These changes should be verified and documents on a continuous basis on the production report. The production report will contain information including the amount of production and the scrap produced as a result of that production.</p><p>f.    Employee is responsible for cleaning the machine during the work shift in order to avoid malfunctions and to keep the work area safe. </p><p>g.    While the machine is running, the employee must unstack the blanks from the machine and load them onto a blank cart. Once cart is full, the necessary paperwork and a blank sample are attached to the cart and the cart is prepared for moving. </p><p>h.    The cart is backflushed and then staged for warehouse pickup and transferred into the cart holding area.</p><p>i.    The operator will also be responsible for attending all plant wide or department wide meetings. </p><p>j.    Complete changeovers and Conversion Cart Inventory check sheets.</p><p>k.    Machine operator is responsible to listen to the communications, which are provided through a PA system.
