Accounting Manager, Americas
As an Accounting Manager for the Americas Converting Division, you will be responsible for ensuring the completion of timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting processes and requirements in accordance with GAAP. This includes preparing journal entries, reconciling reports and financial data, reviewing balance sheet account reconciliations, and assisting with the monthly close process. This role will provide leadership for the Americas accounting group, lead the compliance initiatives, and provide support to the field for all accounting and compliance related activities. This role will also act as primary liaison with corporate accounting.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in an Accounting role, with 3-4 years in a manufacturing environment, and will support the business to ensure we meet our financial objectives. This position provides an opportunity to drive change and oversee certain accounting processes within the largest division, with over 50 converting plants in the Americas.
Primary Responsibilities are, but not limited to, the following:
- Lead the accounting and monthly close process for assigned functions and activities including Balance Sheet reviews and P&L statements
- Oversee Sales and COGS allocation process within the Americas
- Support and review account re-class entries, inventory validation, central reconciliations, intercompany, and miscellaneous allocations
- Identify and improve our existing accounting and month end close processes
- Partner with plant controllers to create, deploy, and provide training on best practices for accounting processes
- Lead SOX compliance for the region and provide a high level of support for audits of critical processes
- Support Division Admin accounting activities including GR/IR
- Work directly with the Americas Revenue Management team to validate the liabilities related to customer rebates and incentives
- Proactively assist company’s external auditors and internal auditors, as needed, to ensure an efficient and effective audit process
- Collaborate across business units to improve processes and procedures
- Oversight and support of the central Costing process
- Plan, assign and review Costing Senior Analyst’s and Accounting Senior Analyst’s work
- Ad Hoc reporting and other duties, as needed
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; advanced degree is a plus
- CPA designation or CPA candidate is a plus
- Minimum 5-7 years of work experience in a Finance or Accounting role
- Manufacturing industry experience preferred but not required
- Ability to research accounting issues and present solutions and impact to senior management and those without a financial background
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office Suite tools
- ERP systems experience required; SAP preferred

Pay Range: $115,350.00 - $153,800.00
