MISSION / SUMMARY:

The Associate Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) supports human resources programs and processes and the functional Sr. HRBP team. They facilitate several components of the HR team’s work as well as lead domestic and international programs.  The Associate HRBP interacts with and facilitates the new hire experience for the Global headquarters as well as virtually based employees across the US. In addition, the role offers continuous career development by directly supporting select groups of clients, under the direction of a senior level HRBP, ranging from the Leadership Development Program to Corporate Supply Chain, Finance, and Innovation.

 

JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include but are not limited to the following

  • Must work within and adhere to the company’s core values of Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Relationships and Teamwork.
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
  • Assist with day-to-day administration of human resource transactions, including completing all the necessary documents to hire, terminate and modify employee records.
  • Maintains and manages electronic and hard copy employee files.
  • Assist employees with ADA & leaves of absence, including FMLA, short-term disability, and military leave requests and processing. Engages Sr. HRBP in all decision making and employee response as required.
  • Manages vendor relationship for internal electronic communication tools and pre-employment services (background, fit for duty, and drug screening). Additional vendor responsibility may be assigned.
  • Facilitates the timely and quality execution of selected Annual HR processes and programs including but not limited to:
    • Global President & Leadership Awards
    • Global Scholarship Program
    • United Way Campaign – North America
    • EEO 1/AAP/VETS Reporting
    • HR Internships & Cristo Rey Sponsorship
    • HR Recognition
    • Coordinates Invitees for CEO & CHRO Round Table Meeting (Partners with Communications)
    • Various other philanthropic endeavors of the company
  • Partners with corporate payroll to ensure proper processing of deductions for employee taxes, garnishments, charitable contributions, and other deductions.
  • Provides timekeeping support to both managers and nonexempt employees. Monitors time and approval for HDQ Executive Administration and reception group.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; coaching matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development.
  • Data Analytics and Reporting:
    • Prepare monthly reports, including headcount
    • Prepare reports on key HR metrics and budgets
  • Provides HR guidance and support to managers and employees for basic HR policy and process inquiries. Elevates higher level concerns to the appropriate repository for resolution.
  • Facilitates Talent Acquisition processes in partnership with the Corporate Talent Acquisition team:
    • Partners with HRBP, hiring manager and talent acquisition partners to recruit top talent
    • Coordinates and leads weekly recruiting strategy and update meetings
    • Facilitates HDQ and virtual pre-employment and onboarding activities for all new hires
  • Participates or leads annual improvement projects as assigned to include the design and implementation of work processes and solutions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum one to three years of human resources experience preferred (exempt or non-exempt level); recent college graduates with relatable internship or development experiences are eligible for consideration.
  • Experience working in Human Capital operating systems (SAP HCM strongly preferred).
  • Previous experience working in Applicant Tracking Systems preferred.
  • Proven organizational communication and conflict resolution experiences.
  • Strong MS Teams and Office skills with emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and tasks required.
  • Global, fortune 100/500, publicly traded company experience preferred.
  • HR for corporate functions experience preferred.
  • Experience working for manufacturing company preferred.

 

EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:

  • Four-year degree or;
  • Compensatory closely related work experience/education combination required in lieu of degree.
  • SHRM Certification preferred.

SCHEDULE DEMANDS:

  • General schedule is an 8-hour M-F assignment, however, employee must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so.
  • Occasional overnight travel to include flying, driving, riding or by rail.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Sitting or standing for extended periods of time up to 8-hours.
  • Occasional Lifting up to 20 lbs.
  • Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.
  • Use of various office hand and electrical tools or equipment.
