Title: Benefit Analyst

The Benefit Analyst supports the Benefits Team in the implementation and administration of benefit programs, practices, and policies. This role is responsible for day-to-day leave administration, ensuring timely execution of leave and disability programs in compliance with company policies and local, state, and federal regulations.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversees daily administration of leave programs/policies in accordance with federal, state laws and provisions of collective bargaining agreements.
- Monitors third party vendors to ensure service needs are met and compliance requirements are fulfilled.
- Maintains and updates systems, ensuring accurate tracking and supporting documentation related to leaves of absences and accommodation activity. Processes advice to pay report during each payroll cycle to ensure timely and accurate payment of benefits.
- Delivers communication material and training to HR partners related to the Leave and Disability programs and processes.
- Conducts regular audits of processes and systems to ensure compliance and accuracy; resolves discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Monitors and administers benefits billing, including compiling and verifying data, submitting invoices and tracking payment processes.
- Supports the Benefits team with the Annual Enrollment process, including review of communications and enrollment system and vendor testing.
- Develops and fosters positive working relationships with functional teams (e.g., HR partners, Payroll, Legal, HRIS and others).
- Participates in projects to improve systems, processes, and management practices improving effectiveness and efficiency.
- Ensures employee privacy, including confidentiality and protection of sensitive employee information.
- Other benefit administration related duties as assigned.
Minimum Position Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in benefits administration at a large employer, including experience with leave of absence administration; third-party leave administration solution experience preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel skills.
- Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to quickly learn new programs and systems.
- Self-starter requiring minimal supervision with the ability to prioritize multiple demands at a fast pace
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
- Experience with compliance of federal and state disability legislation and programs including FMLA, ADA, and state leave laws.
- Knowledge of ERISA, IRS, DOL and related requirements.
