Position Summary

You will be part of a team responsible for the day-to-day operations and administration of GPI’s health & welfare and leave management programs. You will support program changes, coordinate plan compliance activities, and partner with vendors on program administration and employee issue resolution.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Partner with vendors, insurance carriers, payroll, HR Technology, and others to ensure that programs are administered in accordance with plan documents and applicable regulations.
  • Collect and analyze data; conduct regular audits of data, processes and systems to ensure compliance and accuracy; resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, responding to and providing guidance for escalated employee questions/issues.
  • Support the Annual Enrollment process, including review of communications and enrollment system and vendor testing.
  • Coordinate implementation of bargained program changes with carriers and maintain accurate documentation of plan provisions.
  • Support administration of leave programs/policies in accordance with federal, state laws and provisions of collective bargaining agreements.
  • Participate in projects to improve systems, processes, and management practices improving effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Coordinate compliance activities, such as required notices, ACA, Form 5500 filings, SARs, and oversee maintenance of SBCs and SPDs.
  • Develop and foster positive working relationships with functional teams (e.g., HR partners, Payroll, Legal, HRIS and others).
  • Other benefit administration related duties as assigned.

Minimum Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 6+ years of experience in benefits administration/operations at a large, complex organization
  • Strong knowledge of subject matter.  
  • Knowledge of ERISA, DOL, IRS, and related requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to interact with staff, at all levels of the organization, as well as outside professionals and service providers.
  • Strong Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel skills.  SAP is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, critical thinking and data analysis skills
  • Ability to quickly learn new programs and systems
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • Highly organized to effectively plan, track, evaluate and follow-up on multiple priorities for multiple people.
  • Ability to exhibit a sense of urgency around customer service and to model behavior for others.

 

Pay Range:   $78,750.00 - $105,000.00
