Position Title:            Coordinator, Storeroom/Shipping/Receiving

Organizational Unit: Packaging Machinery Division

Location:                     Atlanta, GA


Responsible for the accurate movement of parts in and out of the storeroom, and accurate recording of the movement to the manufacturing system. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work in a safe manner to prevent injury to self or others.
  • Maintain a clean work area.
  • Handle and store parts in manner to prevent damage.
  • Prepare fabricated parts requiring plating for shipping, create shipping papers, and ship to vendor.
  • Verify condition, description and quantity of incoming shipments against packing slip.
  • Notify buyers of any discrepancies between actual shipment received and packing slip and/or Purchase Order.
  • Receive and identify purchased parts, operations, and supplies and move to dock location, inspection, paint, special handling, or requisitioner.
  • Move parts from receiving and fabrication dock locations to assembly job racks.
  • Accurately record the movement, shipment, and adjustments of parts to the manufacturing system in accordance with established procedures.
  • Assist with machine preparation and shipment including taken pictures, writing Bill of Lading/s (BOL) and other required documentation.
  • Manage incoming delivery of raw materials.
  • Dispose of scrap material when authorized.
  • Be available to assist in assembly when needed.
  • Work with assembly supervisor to maintain accurate warehouse inventory including preparing/coordinating shipments to and from the warehouse.
  • Prepare parts for shipment.
  • Build shipping crates as needed.
  • Responsible for emptying trash bins as needed.
  • Assist with machine testing when necessary.
  • Oversee the safety/PPE supplies and keep the eyewash station maintained.
  • Operate forklift in a safe manner; forklift license must be in good standing always.
  • File and process paperwork in accordance with the established procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Carry or pick up parts and product if required.
  • Take/pick up parts from outside services when required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to work overtime as scheduled with or without advanced notice.

Required Skills


  • Experience in shipping/receiving, storeroom is a plus.
    • 2-5 years’ experience preferred
  • Demonstrated use Microsoft Office required.
  • Demonstrated communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Action oriented and demonstrated ability to work with limited direction.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and successfully handle multiple tasks. 
  • Working knowledge of SAP desirable.


  • High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements:

  • Work is completed in an assembly environment; high speed equipment, forklift equipment, robotic systems.
  • Frequent exposure to noise; hearing protection is provided.
  • Frequent standing and walking on concrete surface.
  • Frequent squatting, bending, twisting and crawling on/under equipment.
  • Frequent climbing using ladder and platforms.
  • Must be able to work alone on a regular basis to perform various work orders.
  • Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.; infrequently lifting to 75 lbs. without assistance.
  • Frequent pushing/pulling.
  • Frequent operation of powered industrial equipment and hand tools.
  • Frequent operation of a forklift.
