Digital Workforce Integration Specialist - SMARTManufacturing

Business analysis, system and project engineering for existing and new systems for the Information Technology Department.  The Information Technology Analyst will strategically support our Smart Manufacturing Program, performing the analysis, design, and implementation of digital technologies across our manufacturing sites. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, engineers, operations, and IT teams to define business requirements, assess process gaps, and deliver solutions that enable Industry 4.0 capabilities—such as Connected worker solutions, Intelligent Manufacturing, advanced analytics, and automation. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, problem-solver, and systems thinker who understands both manufacturing operations and enterprise technology.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Principal Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Implementation and support of Smart Manufacturing technology, ensuring seamless integration with organizational goals and operational objectives
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, operations, and IT to implement automation and system improvements
  • Design and develop technology solutions that deliver actionable insights to optimize decision-making
  • Facilitate training sessions and workshops to drive user adoption and effective utilization of digital manufacturing software
  • Partner with technical teams and vendors to troubleshoot issues and test system functionality
  • Implement system changes and updates
  • Configure, optimize and support software deployed under the Smart Manufacturing program to enhance operational efficiency
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and industry best practices
  • Identify and implement digital technology enhancements to improve functionality and user experience
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to define project scope, deliverables, and timelines, ensuring strategic execution
  • Evaluate technical requirements and propose deployment solutions, collaborating with various teams and vendors to ensure technical feasibility
  • Translate business needs into technical specifications
  • Develop roadmaps to align IT solutions with manufacturing requirements
  • Work alongside IT architects, application engineers and infrastructure teams to design scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions
  • Support vendor relationships and software integrations, overseeing system enhancements and deployments
  • Engage with key stakeholders to drive alignment of digital manufacturing technologies with business objectives

 

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS: 

  • Strong verbal/written, time management, and analytical thinking skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences.
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills, ensuring effective collaboration and task management.
  • Experience in problem-solving and stakeholder collaboration for reporting and insights.
  • Ability to assess complex challenges and formulate practical solutions.
  • Technical understanding in structuring and developing data-driven solutions.
  • Familiarity with structured project management approaches.
  • Effective in independent and team settings, managing ambiguity.
  • Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Preferred experience in production environments.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms, databases, and IoT technology.
  • Understanding of maintenance processes, rounds, procedures.
  • Adherence to security policies, change control, and audit requirements.
  • Experience with software integrations and enterprise manufacturing technologies.
  • Occasional site support and implementation travel (less than 25%).

 

EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE:

  • 4-year college degree in general or IT-Related field                             
  • Graduate Level engineering or business education is beneficial
  • 2+ years of experience working with software systems in industrial or manufacturing settings
  • 3+ years of relevant experience preferred in Manufacturing or Technology sector
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field (equivalent work experience will be considered).

 

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience with Connected Work software (Augmentir), Power platform, Office 365
  • Knowledge of industrial IT/OT and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Exposure to Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Familiarity with database querying or reporting tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills with focus on delivering measurable outcomes.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment

Pay Range:   $71,625.00 - $95,500.00
