Title: Director, Compensation

GPI is seeking a Compensation Director to join our Total Rewards team. The Compensation Director manages GPI’s global compensation programs, and ensures they are aligned to the market and support the company’s overall talent strategy. The ideal candidate is a results-driven leader with strong influencing skills and a proven ability to adapt to satisfy the changing needs of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- In partnership with the business leaders, HR, and the Vice President of Total Rewards, manage and deploy compensation solutions that are linked to GPI’s overall Total Rewards strategy.
- Provide leadership and proactive compensation support on a variety of matters including but not limited to executive compensation, broad based compensation, and sales compensation.
- Provide proactive & strategic business support by understanding key business challenges and opportunities and proactively providing compensation solutions to better enable the business to achieve their growth objectives.
- Lead and support the annual compensation processes for the organization.
- Expand broad based compensation support to include hourly and global populations.
- Lead change management focused on the HR community, leadership, and employee communication strategies to promote the GPI rewards programs.
- Utilize data, analytics, and internal/external insights to develop compensation solutions that will drive strong business results.
- Build a strong team of Compensation business partners to help the business achieve its objectives and enhance the TR talent pipeline.
Experience and Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in compensation, including designing, managing, and implementing compensation plans and programs. At least 3-5 years of the experience should be related to executive compensation.
- Experience in all areas of Global Compensation including hourly, salaried, executive, and incentive compensation including sales compensation.
- Experience working in large, complex, dynamic organizations with multiple business groups and broad geographic reach and the ability to work in an ambiguous environment.
- Experience managing and leading an internal team of direct and indirect reports to successfully deliver to the scope, schedule and cost requirements while also partnering with external consulting teams to ensure milestones are met, knowledge transfer is in place, etc.
- Experience with Mergers & Acquisitions.
- Experience with HRIS implementations.
- Experience in broad human resources roles such a compensation, benefits, HRBP, and/or Talent Management is a plus.
