The Director of Transformation (DT) will be a member of Graphic Packaging’s transformation office and serve as a cross-functional business partner to key executives. Their primary responsibility will be to execute strategic enterprise initiatives that drive growth, profitability, and long-term success. This individual will lead efforts to facilitate and coordinate our business strategy processes along-side our business leaders, to optimize and expand our existing global footprint with a focus on growth. This position requires an experienced, data-driven, analytical, collaborative, and influential leader who can work effectively across a variety of stakeholders. The DT will work closely with the executive leadership and key subject matter experts to develop a progressive view of the industry and the opportunities within.
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Support the long-range planning (LRP) cycle to support our executive team in crafting Graphic Packaging’s annual LRP and updates required throughout the year
- Continuously improve Graphic Packaging’s execution tracking framework to drive accountability around business priorities and allow leadership to continuously focus on what matters most and course correct where needed
- Provide critical support to strategic planning process by conducting qualitative and quantitative analyses, such as, competitive landscape assessments, and industry analysis, to identify potential growth opportunities and inform strategic decision-making, and prepare in-depth analyses on industry segments, key trends and competitive dynamics.
- Facilitate build/buy/partner strategy & prioritization in partnership with key operations and executive leaders.
- Partner with business leaders, People and Corporate Communications functions to cascade the plan at all levels of the organization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategic initiatives that drive growth and value for Graphic Packaging leveraging analytical skills and industry expertise that align with the company's goals and vision.
- Identify potential partnership and M&A opportunities by generating high-quality ideas and screening them for executive review, enabling Graphic Packaging to make strategic investments which drive value.
- Develop management reports and board presentations that provide clear and concise insights, enabling effective communication and decision-making at all levels of the organization.
- Builds analytical models and performs regular financial, competitive, performance, and market analyses for the business in order to comprehensively value business opportunities.
- Collaborate across the organization with top leadership, aiding in individualized strategy formulation for different projects and initiatives.
- Partner with business leaders to recommend and implement profitable strategies for GPI using economic thinking to develop sound understanding of current and future business.
- Develop a diverse array of knowledge sources to support market outlook/point-of-view and economic thinking including the POV of GPI business segments.
- Identify potentially disruptive effects on the business segment and how they might create opportunities.
- Build sustainable knowledge systems to optimally share and apply learnings and propose future market scenarios which encompass uncertainty.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred.
- Additional analytical qualifications (e.g. lean six sigma) and analytical platforms (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Python etc), preferred
- 5+ years of experience driving projects from initial concept (including hypotheses development and decision frameworks) and design and lead supporting analyses.
- Experience with a leading management consulting firm, preferred
- Experience in highly analytical business functions (finance, pricing, revenue management, supply chain etc) preferred
- Strong intellect and business acumen with the ability to work across a broad portfolio of topics.
- Strong facilitation skills, specifically with experience in helping multiple stakeholders navigate through difficult strategic topics and agendas.
- Strikes the right balance of confidence and humility
- Structured and logical thinker with excellent strategic story lining capabilities.
- Distinctive presentation building skills with strong data visualization experience and ability to tell the story of complex business issues and focus on what matters most.
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to run and manage highly complicated quantitative analysis to support strategic recommendations.
- Experience with primary and secondary market research and survey methods.
- Executive presence with polished writing and public speaking skills, comfortable on feet during presentations with the ability to synthesize information into key messages appropriate for the audience
Pay Range: $172,300.00 - $229,700.00
