POSITION SCOPE: Perform the electrical design tasks for global Packaging Machinery. 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Create electrical schematics and diagrams.
  • Provide drafting support to others as needed.
  • Organize bills of materials.
  • Develop PLC and HMI control programs.
  • Integrate servo control platforms as a means to increase machinery flexibility and improve performance.
  • Incorporate global safety standards
  • Improve efficiency of established systems.
  • Travel to customer sites as directed to support equipment startup, repair and upgrades.

Desired Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • 2 - 5 years of demonstrated experience in control systems design for machinery.
  • Capable of designing electrical schematics - E3 Schematic CAD software desirable.
  • PLC programming experience.
  • HMI programming experience.
  • Proven servo system experience.
  • Excellent document management skills.
  • Understanding of global safety standards and electrical codes of practice.
  • Background in developing engineering solutions for machinery. 

Job Requirements:

  • Familiar with working in a team-oriented design and manufacturing environment.
  • Strong project management skills and meets deadlines.
  • Up to 20% travel, potentially some international destinations.
