Title:  Facilities Porter

Essential Functions

  • Set up conference rooms for events and meetings
  • Perform daily checks of conference rooms checking for chair alignments, replenishment of markers, and cable management
  • Stock and replenish items in the kitchen and conference rooms
  • Set up water, coffee, and other items as needed
  • Check to make sure all kitchen equipment is clean
  • Maintain cleanliness of walls, baseboards and doors
  • Sort and deliver daily mail, FedEx and UPS packages
  • Breakdown any equipment after events or meetings
  • Provide support to catering staff
  • Serve as the first point of contact for the office facility. Provide front desk reception services including answering calls, screening and relaying calls and visitors

  • Ideal candidate will be an independent, self-starter
  • Ability to communicate with personnel and clients
  • Interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Sense of urgency
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Clean professional appearance
  • Understanding of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word.
  • Office ordering and auditing of office supplies
  • Submit corresponding work orders for repairs

Education and Work Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Work Environment

  • Large corporate work environment.
  • Safety glasses required while performing certain tasks.
  • Fast paced work environment.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Exposed to a combination of normal office type environments and shop environments.
  • Regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes and noise.

Experience:

  • Customer Service: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Day Porter: 3 years (Preferred)
