MISSION / SUMMARY:
This position supports the Finance Manager and business management by providing operations analysis, and cost accounting; by directly participating in the business planning process; and by developing, implementing and interpreting corporate financial policy for the Paperboard Manufacturing Division
JOB FUNCTION: Job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Actively participate with the Finance Manager in the formulation of business strategies, objectives and business and financial plans for Paperboard Operations by providing information, analysis, counsel and recommendations in support of the division’s annual and long-range budgeting and forecast processes.
- Establish working knowledge and be the subject matter expert of the P&L and process related to all international board sales for the Paperboard Manufacturing Division.
- Responsible for preparation of budget, monthly forecasts, and long-range plans for the Integrated Margin profit centers.
- Assist Finance division with the month-end close process.
- Work cross-functionally with Supply Chain Finance, Logistics, and the Sales organizations to explain results and drive efficiencies.
- Perform ad-hoc analytics on mill freight and warehousing expenses
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging advanced features and capabilities within the company’s supported technologies.
- Prepare month-end and quarterly reporting requirements for Paperboard Manufacturing division in support of Corporate Accounting requests.
BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:
- 3 or more years’ experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
- MBA or CPA a plus.
- Business systems and dashboard experience a plus
SPECIFIC SKILLS:
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and organizational skills, detail orientation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate with all levels of employees and management.
- Demonstrated ability to implement creative solutions. Takes initiative and is self-directed.
- High level of integrity to ensure accurate reporting of financial data.
- Can work independently without a great need of supervision.
- Can manage multiple projects at one time.
- Good communication skills.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. SAP required.
- Occasional travel.
Pay Range: $65,025.00 - $86,700.00
