MISSION / SUMMARY:
As the Director, Finance of Global Supply Chain, reporting to the VP Finance Paperboard Manufacturing & Global Supply Chain, you will be responsible for providing financial leadership and decision-making support for the Supply Chain function of Graphic Packaging’s multiple business units. This position offers the opportunity to partner with multiple business leaders, lead teams to analyze results, drive cost improvements to improve the business, and improve processes to achieve world class operating results.
The ideal candidate will have 12+ years of experience in an Accounting / Finance role with 8+ years in a large manufacturing environment.
Position will be based in Atlanta, GA at the Global Headquarters. The role is responsible for managing, coaching, and developing a team of 3 direct reports and their teams (7 total reports) of finance/accounting employees primarily located in Atlanta.
JOB FUNCTIONS: include but are not limited to the following:
- Provide leadership over the finance team’s daily, weekly and monthly activities in support of the organization’s execution of Vision 2030
- Lead the financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting for Corporate Supply Chain cost centers
- Coordinate the Strategic Procurement Initiatives (SPI’s) for the Long-Range Plan and Annual Operating Plan (Budget).
- Support the development of the organization’s point of view on inflation across a broad category base
- Oversee the development of the monthly Day 10 financial results package and outlook presentation to be shared with the Executive leadership team
- Build an industry leading finance team with a focus on having the right capabilities to ensure the talent we have aligns with our Vision 2030.
- Role-model and ensure strong talent strategies are enacted across the organization. Create a roadmap of talent succession and development plans that drive the talent strategy forward.
- Lead and encourage innovative approaches to the ‘way we work’ that aligns to future trends in people, processes, and systems. Help establish sustainable programs that will benefit the finance team and supply chain teams.
- Maintaining the control environment and enforcing adherence to accounting policies
- Perform Ad hoc financial analysis and streamline and standardize data analysis
- Conduct Quarterly internal control certification
- Enhance reporting accuracy and improve turnaround timeframes
- Support and lead business unit special projects
- Minimum travel may be required.
BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:
Must Haves
- 12+ years of financial and leadership experience in a large manufacturing company
- Financial Leadership: Financial leadership experience in a manufacturing company, have led teams of senior employees and large organizations, and proven ability to communicate effectively and drive change across all levels of the organization.
- Talent Development: Experience in developing future finance leaders and a strong bench of finance professionals
- Strategic Advising: Experience in providing insights to leaders on emerging internal or external market trends, opportunities, and potential threats.
- Performance Management: In depth experience of monitoring financial KPIs, develop, and implement action plans to meet or exceed established objectives.
- Technical Proficiency: Expert in Microsoft Excel, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, SAP Experience a plus.
- Ability to Execute: Proven leadership within cross-functional teams to drive execution and business outcomes
- Innovation: Hands on experience in process design, innovative problem-solving skills, and passion for improvement.
- Business Processes: Hands-on experience with standardizing and managing the automation of finance business processes
Experience in the paper & packaging industry preferred
EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE:
- Four-year college degree in Finance/Accounting or a similarly analytical field
- Preferred: Professional designation (Ex: CPA) or master’s degree in finance or business administration.
- Prior team management experience required

- Interpersonal Skills: A candidate for this position must demonstrate strong attention to detail, have high energy and a proactive nature, have a positive can-do attitude, be result-driven, have exceptional problem-solving skills, and work comfortably in a group/collaborative setting.
- MS Office: The candidate will also demonstrate proficiency in the use of MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint, which will be necessary for the creation of both visually and verbally engaging analyses reports and presentations, for the business’s leadership and management as well as senior strategy management.
Pay Range: $168,900.00 - $225,200.00
