JOB SUMMARY: Benefits work is a specialized area of Rewards focusing on benefits program design, management, and analysis including: Benefits program design (e.g., health and welfare, retirement, etc.). Benefits plan management (e.g., retirement, life insurance, short and long-term disability, accident coverage, medical/dental/vision/prescription drugs, job-related perquisites, etc.). Benefits coverage evaluation, benchmarking, and cost analysis. Communication (e.g., guidance on benefit program features, plans, and options to employees and management) and Vendor management (e.g., insurance and pension brokers, consultants for program design advice, etc.).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Individuals in these roles primarily focus on directing, leveraging, and guiding the work of others, and mobilizing resources.
 Leaders typically manage two or more direct reports.
 Responsible for the monitoring and achievement of operational and/or financial results for their area of responsibility.
 Responsible for people management actions such as hiring, terminating, rewarding, training, and developing employees.
 Progression within the levels reflects increase in scope and responsibilities as well as growth in business and industry experience, process and people leadership capabilities, and broad technical expertise.
 Provides leadership and direction through subordinate management levels.
 Responsible for managing a function that includes multiple related departments or disciplines.
 Contributes to long-term strategy development and develops annual business plans to ensure alignment.
 Directs the resolution of complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an indepth knowledge of the company and the application of critical thinking.
 Requires broad and comprehensive understanding of different systems, theories, and practices.
 Participates in corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people.  Applies broad industry knowledge and commercial awareness to drive financial and operational performance across area of responsibility.
 Establishes policies appropriate for the function.
 Interprets and recommends modifications to company-wide policies and procedures.
 Ensures budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements.
 Objectives are defined in collaboration with senior leadership; results are assessed from a relatively long-term perspective.
 Decisions have a serious impact on the overall success or failure on area of accountability.
 Errors in judgment or failure to achieve results may cause critical delays or modifications to company projects or operations and substantial expenditure of resources.
 Interacts with and influences senior leadership and others concerning matters of significance to the company.
 Conducts business and technical briefings for senior and executive leadership and for external representatives. **Directions: Delete this section if a non-Safe Quality Foods (SQF) location.** Safe Quality Food Responsibilities for all employees:  Follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods.  Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures.
 Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required.
 Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
 Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
 Bachelor’s degree or related work experience required in lieu of degree.

Pay Range:   $164,745.00 - $219,660.00
