Title:  Global Marketing Analyst for Retail & Foodservice - Hybrid Work Schedule Available

MISSION / SUMMARY:

At Graphic Packaging International, we produce the paper cup that held your coffee this morning and the box you held while eating your favorite snack last night. We’re one of the largest manufacturers of paperboard and paper-based packaging for some of the world’s most recognized brands of food, beverage, foodservice, household, personal care and pet care products.

We are looking for a talented individual to join our Global Marketing Team in a new role! The Marketing Coordinator-Retail & Foodservice, will support the Americas Team in the development and implementation of marketing strategies that enable growth for specific end markets. This role will analyze market & industry trends and track the competitive landscape to identify potential areas of opportunity. The Marketing Coordinator will assist with the implementation of marketing plans and provide general support to the Americas Marketing Team. The Marketing Coordinator is excellent at organization, analysis, research, and ideation.

JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include but are not limited to the following.

  • Must work within and adhere to the company’s core values of Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Relationships and Teamwork
  • Support the front-end of innovation analysis through the quantification of growth opportunities, using company data sources
  • Assist with market, customer, consumer and competitor research to gather data and insights to allow market opportunities to be assessed and to support sales enablement
  • Assist with the development of messaging that resonates with the buying audience
  • Help coordinate the execution of the new product promotion strategy and work closely with the Integrated Marketing team to execute marketing plan elements
  • Liaise with members of the Integrated Marketing team and Sales team to ensure marketing plans meet commercial objectives
  • Assist the implementation of plans that support building a stronger corporate brand
  • Other broader duties as assigned by the Marketing Manager, to support the marketing objectives of the segment and geography 

DELIVERABLES

  • Assist with the quantification of growth opportunities in the segment/geography of responsibility
  • Assist with market, customer, consumer and competitor research to gather data and insights for market opportunities
  • Provide actionable market and consumer insights to support sales enablement efforts
  • Coordinate execution of the marketing plan to enable growth for the specific end-market segment and geography
  • Assist with the creation of briefs for the Integrated Marketing team  

BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum three years of relevant marketing experience
  • Retail Food/CPG or Foodservice packaging experience desired
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
  • Strong analytical & organizational skills  

EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:

  • University degree or equivalent in marketing strongly desirable 

SKILLS:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze market and customer trends and understand and communicate their relevance to the business and our customers.
  • Ability to turn large amounts of data into clear and actionable conclusions in reports and presentations.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong team player, ability to work well with other members of the Global Marketing team.
  • High level of competence in Microsoft Office suite. 

SCHEDULE DEMANDS:

  • General schedule is an 8-hour M-F assignment, however, employee must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so.
  • Occasional overnight travel to include flying, driving, riding or by rail. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Sitting or standing for extended periods of time up to 8-hours.
  • Occasional Lifting up to 20 lbs.
  • Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.
  • Use of various office hand and electrical tools or equipment.
