Title:  Human Resources Coordinator

MISSION:

The HR Coordinator provides administrative support for human resources initiatives, processes and programs for corporate/global HR and business units based at the Atlanta HDQ.  This role is responsible for maintaining employee records, conducting new employee orientation, providing general HR policy guidance and assisting in other HR related projects.

 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

HR Administration

  • Completes day-to-day administration of human resource transactions, including completing all the necessary documents to hire, terminate and modify employee records.
  • Oversees the off-boarding process. Prepares and processes termination documents. 
  • Completes transactions for all employee changes that represent a change in status, including promotions, transfers, separations, approved leaves, etc.
  • Completes monthly audit review of employee system changes to ensure accuracy of records.
  • Administer and track leaves of absence, including FMLA, short-term disability, and military leaves.
  • Maintains employee electronic filing system in line with company audit guidelines

 

Recruiting and Staffing

  • Coordinates pre-employment steps – references, background check, drug screen and on-boarding process.
  • Prepares offer and promotion letters with guidance from corporate HR team
  • Coordinates and conducts new employee orientation/onboarding

 

Employee Relations

  • Coordinates the distribution of service awards
  • Participates in health and wellness, community involvement, reward & recognition, safety, employee communication initiatives as needed 
  • Provides basic, first level HR policy and process guidance and support to managers and employees

 

Other Responsibilities

  • Other duties as assigned to support HR initiatives

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of Human Resources experience; previous experience in a manufacturing environment a plus
  • Previous experience in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) preferred
  • Previous experience with Applicant Tracking Systems, ATS, (SuccessFactors, SilkRoad, etc.) preferred
