Title:  IT Middleware & Integration Specialist

Mission:

 The Middleware and Integrations Specialist is responsible for implementing and maintaining B2B Integrations for GPI; handling the development and support of B2B processes to maintain and support businesses. Has a deep understanding of Middleware architecture and concepts, experience with middleware system architecture, development, implementation, and administration.

How you will support GPI – Key Responsibilities

  • Partner various stake holders - Customers, Suppliers, trading partners, internal business contacts - in designing end to end solutions for multiple integration projects.
  • Collaborate across functional and technical areas to ensure implementation of EDI setups and other integrations needs.
  • Support many ongoing integration projects, including project management, development, trading partner setup, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Develop and implement Web Services/APIs WebServices (REST and/or SOAP based) and complex XML schemas and data mapping.
  • Develop maps and business processes for EDI integrations (X12, flat files, XML, csv etc.)
  • Participate in Middleware consolidation and migration effort
  • Perform EDI integrations with ERP systems such as S/4 HANA, SAP ECC (IDOC, BAPI, RFC) and/or legacy systems.
  • Integrate with various end points/adapters - JDBC Adapter, SAP, Flat Files and WebServices
  • Onboard new customers and provided off hours on call support as needed, follow change management process

Required Skills

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related degree preferred, or equivalent experience   
  • 8-10 years of experience in and across an IT service organization
  • Experience with:
  • Sterling Integrator or webMethods
  • using middleware technology to integrate ERP systems such as S/4 HANA, SAP ECC (IDOC, BAPI, RFC) and/or legacy systems. SAP knowledge is a plus
  • designing, developing and implementing enterprise-level integrations
  • analytical, programming and technical skills in enterprise application integration providing production support, development, testing environments
  • developing and supporting EDI/XML/B2B integration solutions

 

Key Competencies:

 

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously that involve key stakeholders across a complex organization. Experience in a manufacturing environment desired
  • Hands on experience in developing and implementing Web Services/APIs WebServices (REST and/or SOAP based) and complex XML schemas and data mapping, as well as X12 (850, 856,810, 855 etc.), flat files, XML, csv and other file formats.
  • Solid experience and deep understanding of EDI concepts
  • Deep expertise in onboarding new customers.
  • Requires a self-starter personality that is flexible and willing to work with a wide range of personalities on a variety of projects while prioritizing effectively with good analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Requires highly effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and experience interact with internal and external customers
