POSITION SCOPE:

 

Working to support the GPI Strategic and operational business objectives, this position exists to support the IT Asset Management efforts to track the assets/CI’s associated with the OT Network for the Mills and Converting locations.

 

The OT Asset Manager will work with the business unit operational management and the Senior Manager Manufacturing Technology to identify, capture, and maintain accurate asset/CI data within the ServiceNow CMDB and Asset Table.  The OT Asset Manager will lead the effort in creating the process to capture and update the OT Assets to maintain accurate records for tracking the life cycle of the asset, as well as the associated maintenance and software licenses for the CI’s.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Principal Duties and Responsibilities: five to eight key responsibilities/activities for which the position is accountable:

 

  • Manage inventory of CIs and assets, including dependencies and attributes, making sure that modifications, withdrawals, and additions of existing ones are correctly recorded with the ServiceNow CMDB
  • Working with the ServiceNow Architecture incorporate Industry best practice into the CSDM Framework to create and execute new governance over the management the OT Assets within the CMDB.
  • Manage Manufacturing IT Standards
  • Work with Finance to accurately manage Hardware Fixed Asset records within ServiceNow and the ERP system for the associated Manufacturing Hardware.
  • Develop, execute, integrate, and maintain processes for improved data collection, data quality, data completeness and data integration in the Asset Management and ITSM systems associated to the OT CI’s.
  • Proactively review inventory status of Configuration Items (CIs) and perform reconciliation analysis of CI records within the CMDB environment.
  • Manage the CI model and Class records to minimize duplicate data through the creation of new models/classes and following the normalization process. 
  • Work closely with asset owners and partners to populate and maintain the integrity of the CI/Asset data to support other IT Manufacturing processes.
  • Design, develop, and maintain solutions within the ServiceNow environment to include modifications of applications, forms, workflow, interfaces, and other configurations required that support ITIL processes and ensure optimal performance of the ServiceNow system.
  • Develop, execute, integrate, and maintain processes for improved data collection, data quality, data completeness and data integration in ServiceNow and related ITSM systems.

 

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:  List minimum level of education, special training, certifications, or technical skills/experience required for this position.

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree (major in Information Technology or Accounting) or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT Hardware Asset Management and CMDB Management
  • Certification in the IT Asset Management industry
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow Asset Management modules
  • Possess an understanding of the various types of current IT Hardware technologies (network switches, routers, firewalls, appliances, servers, storage arrays, desktop/notebooks and various types of IT components and peripherals)
  • Self-motivated and driven to deliver

  • Highly responsible, reliable, and flexible with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work well under pressure and conflicting priorities professionally
