MISSION / SUMMARY:

Under the guidance of the Sr. Manager Talent & Learning Development, this role would be responsible for the system management and oversight of GPI University, the organization’s Learning Management System, training administration and logistics as well as facilitating virtual training experiences. The Learning and Development Specialist would have oversight of all online training content, completion, and feedback data including the development and assignment of reports to leaders. Responsibilities would include a partnership with subject matter experts to manage the upload and assignment of all courses and events in the system and systemically audit records to ensure the accuracy of employee transcripts and course relevance, ensuring compliance with the appropriate record retention schedule as well as, reporting, data, and analytics. 

JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include but are not limited to the following.

  • Develops and manages systems and/or tools for logistics, registration and tracking of training/development activities for all associates-exempt, non-exempt and hourly professionals.
  • Regularly provides reporting, data, and insights to key stakeholders around learning activity and results. Stakeholders include the Compliance Committee, HR Leadership and those responsible for compiling GPI’s Environmental and Sustainability annual report
  • Recommends training to bridge gaps for career development.
  • Acts as the point-of-contact for all GPI University Admin Users, including deployment of end-user communications, logistics and course materials.
  • Acts as the liaison for internal and external clients, associates, and suppliers.
  • Establishes and manages the corporate annual training calendar and updates regularly.
  • Manages timely updates to individual training records and training database.
  • Participates in new hire and ongoing associate training.
  • Assists in organizing events, meetings, and other L&D duties as assigned. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Sitting or standing for extended periods of time up to 8-hours.
  • Occasional Lifting up to 20 lbs.
  • Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.
  • Use of various office hand and electrical tools or equipment.
  • Travel required (25%)

Required Skills

BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 years of experience with the administration of Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • 2 years data analytics and reporting and identifying, researching, and resolving data anomalies to ensure data quality.
  • 2 years of experience in the facilitation and design of training logistics, techniques, and methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Experience using technologies to enhance learning experiences in a digital learning as well as a classroom environment.
  • Ensure that analyses are meaningful and aligned to business objectives.
  • Planning and organizational skills combined with a proven ability to lead others towards timely completion of projects.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 

EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of experience developing instructional or training materials
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a plus
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects while working well under pressure
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Intermediate to advance proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • 2 years of experience facilitating training
