Job Description:

 

This role was created to provide technical solutions to the GPI Mill operations.  The key customers are the owners and operators of GPI’s power assets.  The key deliverables are Best Practices, Power technical support, problem solving, risk management and technical support for new projects.

 

 

Job Function:

 

This position will be responsible for safe firing of all of GPI’s boilers, technical support to the power house managers, all boiler modification, energy technical support, high pressure equipment risk management and the balance of power plant operation.  The overall priority for this position is cost reduction for each of the mills and fostering best practices.

Knowledge and Experience:

 

BS degree in Mechanical Engineering

Minimum of 15 years’ experience in power technology and/or power manufacturing process

Minimum of 5 years of power plant operations management experience

Demonstrated strong leadership skills

An ability to lead through influence

Resources and network enables problems solving

Expert in power design

Success is defined as bringing value to bottom line by bringing forward and implementing solutions

Skilled in using technical tools to problem solve

Proven ability to get results
