  • This position is a hands-on development position with Middleware architect responsibilities. This position is responsible for providing the highest quality Integration solutions and support for all integrations. This position is responsible for the architecture, administration and development of integration solutions for GPI’s on-premises and cloud solutions. In addition, this person will be considered a (SME) Subject Matter Expert for integration and middleware solutions in GPI. This person will be highly technical and will develop technical designs and solutions for complex integration problems. Responsible for defining the strategic roadmap for middleware; working with various business team to define a strategy and business case-ROI to on-board various business units on a singular middleware platform that delivers economies of scale for GPI.

How you will support GPI:

Job functions include, but are not limited to the following-

  • Advise on architectural strategies and best practice approaches.
  • Own GPI Middleware solutions-
    • Assist in Boomi architecture, design and installation process.
    • Own Boomi platform Administration, Managing, Monitoring, Sustaining, Troubleshooting, and supporting GPI Boomi platform.
    • Own the Boomi platform development process from requirements gathering to full implementation of various integration types (EDI, webservice, API led or others).
    • Hands-on deployment, maintenance, and administration of integration processes between applications across Cloud, On-Premises, and Hybrid using Boomi platform.
    • Provide Support and maintenance for legacy EDI Platform (Sterling Integrator B2B)
  • Responsible for establishing best practices in integration of applications and govern detailed designs.
  • Provide development and technical subject matter expertise to ensure integration activities are aligned with business objectives.
  • Architect technical solutions to business problems and work closely with the business
  • Develop a deep understanding of the GPI systems, integrations, and business model.
  • Identify and implement patterns, practices and automation to reduce complexity and improve quality.
  • Facilitate in developing automated tests, build and release capabilities.
  • Implement and adhere to a DEV/SEC/OPS model for secure coding practices
  • Experience in Real time, Batch and ETL integrations
  • Collaborate across functional and technical areas to ensure implementation of integration solutions improve technical functionality in support of business needs and efficiency
  • Manage onboarding new Trading Partners effectively (EDI and non-EDI).
  • Design and develop SOAP and REST based web service (XML and JSON)
  • Handle configurations in SAP for EDI integrations (we20, EDPAR entries etc.)
  • Research new and innovative technologies/approaches and speak to the pros and cons of adopting them
  • Provide support to resolve any production issues including on-call support.
  • Manage multiple projects and multiple priorities efficiently.



Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 8 experience in developing and supporting Middleware integrations.
  • 5 Experience in Boomi platform is a major plus.
  • Boomi Certification a plus
  • Experience with using middleware technology to integrate ERP systems such as SAP ECC (IDOC, BAPI, RFC) or SAP HANA and/or legacy systems
  • Experience working with cloud/on-prem and hybrid cloud solutions
  • Good understanding of cloud architecture
  • Experience and knowledge of APIs, Web Services (XML/JSON, REST/SOAP), SOA concepts and tools
  • Experience mapping, creating, transforming IDOC, cXML, XML, CSV, flat file, database for different systems.
  • Deep expertise in onboarding new customers
  • Experience designing, developing and implementing enterprise-level integrations- Real time, Batch and ETL integrations
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously that involve key stakeholders across an enterprise organization
  • Understanding of EDI Documents and X12 EDI Standards
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Be able to work with non-technical audiences to collect and define requirements.
  • Passionate to understand different systems and develop a comprehensive integration strategy is essential
  • Experience with data flows, analyzing business requirements and translating written architectural, design, and functional specifications.
  • Demonstrated experience using and supporting integration and communications technologies between applications, databases and technology platforms.
  • Experience designing public and private enterprise secure integrations.
  • Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced and continually evolving environment.
  • Knowledge and experience with other integration software such as Sterling Integrator, webMethods, MuleSoft is a plus
  • Record of strong advancement and achievement
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
  • Work experience in a Global environment is a plus.
  • Excellent written, verbal, team, and presentation skills
