MISSION / SUMMARY:

This role is critical to driving overall profitability to the Foodservice business.  Key responsibilities include providing pricing and profitability analysis for both existing and new business, coordinating profit improvement initiatives with the commercial teams, administrating on-going price reviews and market price adjustments, administering customer rebates and deviated pricing programs. Support division goals to pass along cost inflation quicker pace and reduce the lag between price and cost inflation.  Support a quarterly price review schedule.  Help transition Foodservice to a CPU pricing model where feasible. 

 

JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following.

  • Analyze new and existing business opportunities and recommend pricing to optimize margins
  • Understand key elements that impact profitability (freight, volume, manufacturing process, graphics, etc..)
  • Monitor raw material and freight trends to ensure pricing actions maintain or expand business margins
  • Support financial and strategic planning with required analysis
  • Ensure pricing systems are functioning and meeting business needs
  • Collaborate with other functional areas (customer service, sales, product development, market, manufacturing) to ensure stakeholder alignment

 

BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 7 years experience

EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:

  • Four year college degree in business, marketing, or related field

SCHEDULE DEMANDS:

  • General schedule is an 8-hour M-F assignment, however, employee must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so.
  • Occasional overnight travel to include flying, driving, riding or by rail.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Sitting or standing for extended periods of time up to 8-hours.
  • Occasional Lifting up to 20 lbs.
  • Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.
  • Use of various office hand and electrical tools or equipment.
