The Principal Architect – Data Architecture will be responsible for defining the vision, data strategy for small & big data, and the eventual technical solution, ensuring alignment with other application owners through cooperation and collaboration across the organization.


JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include but are not limited to the following.

  • Partner with IT professionals to develop and data architecture technology strategy standards.     
  • Engage in requirement analysis to decide which requirements are covered by available, standard functionalities, for which functionality enhancements are needed and for which functionality workarounds are accepted.
  • Assess and prioritize data analytics requirements in line with organization strategy, and recommending investment where appropriate
  • Build an inventory of data needed to implement the overall architecture
  • Conduct and drives POCs focused on identifying emerging technology solutions that reduce costs, increase efficiencies, provide more value, capabilities, reduce risks and increase security.
  • Helping the organization form data driven access to insights driven access partnering with Senior Leadership to enable business transformation.
  • Engage in the Enterprise Architecture governance model as part of the Global Technical Review Board and manage new technology introductions.
  • Keep up-to-date regarding new and emerging technology and industry practices, share learnings.
  • Collaborates with users in projects and problem management to maintain, develop and deploy the best feasible and most cost-efficient solutions/services for the business.
  • Supports the installation, management, maintenance, and optimization of IT processes related to the area of responsibility.
  • Provides guidance to project management and delivery unit teams on how to utilize data & analytics standards effectively.
  • Drive data management and governance process to grow together disparate data assets, curate key data domains into sources of truth and help create a data backbone supporting analytics and reporting.
  • Works together with relevant stakeholders (e.g., business managers, Service Managers, other IT Architects, Solution Architects) regarding their expectations, business and technical requirements.
  • Provides support to temporary work teams, guiding and monitoring task completion, sharing expert knowledge and advice with/without carrying line responsibility.
  • Advises on approaches to Analytics/Data science and Business Intelligence service design, build, delivery and tests ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Design, document, construct database architectures and applications (e.g. large relational databases)
  • Define scalability, security, performance and data recovery standards for the enterprise
  • Implement a global framework to ensure data accuracy and accessibility



  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 15 years total experience, including time spent in a multi-national global enterprise environment
  • 10 years experience on designing & managing large data stores
  • Successful track record of self-managing and delivering the enterprise-scale projects.
  • Experience in leveraging data lakes in public cloud environments
  • Background in management of global, large-scale, complex and diverse systems environments.
  • Experience transforming infrastructure environment from traditional, in-house centric models to global, distributed and cloud centric architecture.
  • Ability to operate and deliver in high pace environment.
