Position Summary

This individual will be an integral team member in the support of plant production control teams. The position is responsible for maintaining best practice standards in production control and ensuring plants are executing properly.  This position will be located in Concord, NH or Chicago, IL.


Position Responsibilities

Production Control Excellence Standards Development and Alignment:

  • Coordinate with production control managers to develop production control best practices on scheduling, raw material coordination and inventory management
  • Update best practices semiannually based on plant assessments and communications
  • Review and align production control excellence standards with plant managers, production control managers and directors of operations

Production Control Assessments:

  • Perform offsite production control assessments on SAP facilities on a monthly basis
  • Perform onsite production control assessments as needed
  • Update production control excellence scorecard monthly based on above assessments and review risk areas with plants and division management team 

Production Control Training and Development:

  • Develop training program and/or action plan specific to risk areas called out in monthly scorecard
  • Follow-up on status of training/actions required to eliminate risk areas mentioned above
  • Interact with material supply team and operations team to coordinate resources to address training and support

Bridge Support for Turnover/New Employees:

  • Work with operations group to proactively determine need for training/support of new production control employees
  • Participate in training for new employees/turnover in plant production control teams
  • Bridge support for short staffed production control teams as needed

Required Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience


Prior demonstrated experience (5 years) with production control/scheduling

Working knowledge of inventory management

Working knowledge of Galaxy scheduling system

Working knowledge of folding carton production processes

Working knowledge of SAP

Any level of LEAN / Six Sigma education and experience
