Title:  Sr. Analyst, Risk Management (Commercial Insurance)

MISSION / SUMMARY:

Fully support the Risk Management function on a global basis.  Assist and/or manage the renewal of all insurance policies, oversee premium allocations, , participate in contract review and collateral review.  In addition, work directly with outside vendors to ensure the completion of tasks central to the department’s main functions.

 

JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following.

  • Assist the Sr. Director, Risk Management as needed.
  • Manage/assist with the renewal applications for all lines of insurance (Executive Risks, Property & Casualty) for all countries.
  • Work directly with insurance brokers and carriers regarding policy issuance, corrections and subsequent endorsements.
  • Create PowerPoint decks for, and present to, Executive Safety Team.
  • Create annual Plan for: insurance premiums, WC claims expense, brokerage fees, and incurred but not reported exposures.
  • Work directly with the Company’s locations in all countries at the entry, mid and senior staff levels.
  • Manage collateral requirements of all insurance carriers.
  • Maintain the actual and apparent integrity of the RM department’s data (working with auditors).
  • Provide data to accounting department and outside actuaries on a monthly and semi-annual basis, and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Create ad-hoc reports from various third-party computer systems.
  • Oversee the RMIS, Ebix certificate tracking portal and liaise with Supply Chain for vendor onboarding.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:

  • 6 years of experience in risk management, brokerage industry, finance or accounting preferred; experience with data analytics and industry experience also considered.

 

EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in Risk Management, Accounting, Finance or related field.

 

SPECIFIC SKILLS:

  • Microsoft Office skills and aptitude for other software.
  • Exceptional analytical skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills (vlookup, pivot tables, macros, etc.)
  • Aptitude and/or working knowledge of basic accounting concepts.
  • SAP, Ebix and Riskonnect experience preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication.

 

SCHEDULE DEMANDS:

  • General schedule is an 8-hour M-F assignment, however, employee must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so. 

 

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Sitting or standing for extended periods of time up to 8-hours.
  • Occasional Lifting up to 20 lbs.
  • Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.
  • Use of various office hand and electrical tools or equipment.
