Title:  Senior Manager Procurement Operations

MISSION / SUMMARY: This role presents a great opportunity for a seasoned procurement leader who is passionate about enabling next-level procurement processes and strategy to drive efficiency, compliance, and professionalism. The Senior Manager Procurement Operations is a player/coach position developing the procurement operations and compliance team while leading by example through a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and placing the team before self-interests. Responsibilities include implementing strategies for:

  • Procurement processes including compliance & training
  • System enhancements
  • Sourcing event support
  • Category analytics
  • Reporting (Customer, Contract Compliance, spend (including Diversity), Environmental, Safety & Governance, Working Capital)

 

JOB FUNCTION: Job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Leads a growing team including hiring, training, performance and development.
  • Skilled at examining current processes to identify inconsistencies, inefficiencies, and internal control gaps and implement appropriate process enhancements to address identified gaps and support consistency across the organization.
  • Develops reporting and controls to ensure negotiated agreements are tactically executed effectively
  • Lead the identification of Procurement-relevant technology tools and solutions including translating procurement’s current and future business requirements into functional specs for the IT organization that enhance the enterprise’s competitive edge.
  • Identify opportunities to automate processes and functions, and develop appropriate KPIs
  • Identifies and executes opportunities to improve working capital by moving suppliers to favorable inventory agreements and or standard payment terms other and Supply Chain duties/projects as assigned.
  • Provides tactical purchasing support for Supply Chain and as needed to the plants
  • Prepares and maintains spend by commodity at the level commodities are sourced – works cross functionally to remediate issues with proper spend classification and material master data quality – integrates M&A and Non-SAP spend

 

BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:

  • 10 years of experience. Preferably in procurement or supply chain Experience building, developing, and motivating a team. Aptitude for building strong relationships with cross-functional colleagues and leadership in all regions.
  • Experience aggregating information from multiple sources efficiently and accurately to support business inquiries and decision making – works well with data to draw business conclusions
  • Effective project management skills, including planning and decision-making, identifying priorities and bringing projects to successful completion in a timely manner; and maintaining a focus on high standards and quality
  • Proficient in leading teams and processes, as well as demonstrated capability in process improvement/administrative lean/system optimization.
  • Successful experience with implementing global procurement systems (ex. Vendor onboarding, AI platforms, and catalog strategies).

 

EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (supply chain/logistics, accounting, finance, engineering, IT) required
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Proficient to expert-level in data analysis and reporting
  • Strong utilization of MS Office (Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Experience working in and/or using SAP (superuser preferred) or other ERP system
  • Lean and/or Six Sigma preferred
  • Process mapping experience required
  • Experience with Shared services preferred
