GPI is looking for a ServiceNow Architect that can serve as a subject matter expert across multiple projects and modules. This will be a technical, hands-on role for a Senior level ServiceNow developer, and will serve as the Lead Developer and Technical Consultant for the ServiceNow team. While there will be some hands on, the primary role will be focused on strategy build and execution of the strategy.


Responsibilities will include, among others:

  • The ServiceNow architect will lead in design and implementation of multiple components within ServiceNow
  • Act as central expert for ServiceNow products
  • Analyze and define customer requirements
  • Design and develop reusable software modules that meet GPI requirements while upholding high standards of reliability, security, maintainability, and performance
  • Assist in defining product technical architecture
  • Document designs for coding by other developers
  • Make accurate development effort estimates to assist management in project and resource planning
  • Lead peer reviews for designs, code, and other work products
  • Stay up to date with ServiceNow line of products
  • Design features as required by users for implementation. This may be workflows for requests, incidents, problem, change management, or projects
  • Fully document all code or architecture, and update any relevant documentation
  • Develop, document, test any required integrations with the CMDB
  • Provide high-touch service to stakeholders to ensure both business and technology delivery teams are prepared to promote initiatives to team backlogs
  • Facilitate priority discussions and alignment between business and technology and ensure priorities are reflected in roadmap plans
  • Aide in the design and development of standard portfolio reporting to facilitate awareness and transparency to portfolio performance.
  • Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Serve as a ServiceNow subject matter expert for Company and internal ServiceNow development team
  • Providing high-level estimates on work breakdown structures for ServiceNow implementations and/or enhancements
  • Working with the ServiceNow development team to demo potential solutions as required
  • Identify opportunities to improve and streamline the overall platform


The Ideal Candidate: The candidate will exhibit the following qualities:

  • Experience with full lifecycle ServiceNow implementations
  • Understanding of the key technologies relevant to the ServiceNow integration solutions including: SSO, SAML, SSL, Web Services, LDAP, JDBC, ODBC, REST, SCP, FTPS.
  • Understanding of software, on-prem, and cloud infrastructure engineering environments
  • Advanced ServiceNow Platform Development skills (Must be able to demonstrate)
  • Advanced ServiceNow Application Development skills (Must be able to demonstrate)
  • Ability to create and articulate a platform strategy.
  • In-Depth Knowledge of Technical Implementation of various ServiceNow modules (ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, CMDB, HRSD etc.)
  • Solid understanding of discovery service mapping
  • Basic understanding of CSDM
  • Ability to address ambiguity and drive consensus across multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to work with business leaders and enable strategy execution
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist
  • ITIL Foundation Certification Preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field Preferred
  • ServiceNow Architect, 5 Years’ Experience Preferred, Technical Implementation
