Title: Sr Analyst, Continuous Improvement

MISSION: The Continuous Improvement Analyst is responsible for working with our manufacturing sites to implement data collection and real-time alerting software. In this role, the primary focus will be on training and supporting site personnel, with secondary functions related to data analysis and operationalization as applies to collecting and leveraging data across the America’s Converting division to reduce unscheduled equipment downtime and improve overall process reliability. This role is also responsible for supporting operational excellence objectives by providing insights to positively affect focus plants and processes within the division.
JOB FUNCTION: Job functions include but are not limited to the following.
- Train site personnel on data collection and analysis tools and techniques, including Ignition data collection software and Squeaks real-time alert software
- Create, maintain, and update training documents to ensure consistent and effective training across manufacturing sites
- Ensure successful cascaded training to plant personnel
- Support plant personnel in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to data collection and analysis systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions
- Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive operational improvements
- Develop and implement metrics and KPIs to measure performance and progress
- Provide regular reports and updates to management on performance improvement initiatives
- Develop and implement data collection and analysis strategies to improve performance
- Develop and maintain data collection and analysis systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency
BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:
- 3 years of experience in manufacturing operations and data analysis
- Experience with Ignition data collection software and Squeaks real-time alert software preferred
- Experience working in cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decisions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to travel to manufacturing sites as needed
EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, or related field
- Experience in the folding carton industry is extremely preferred. Specific knowledge of KBA, Bobst and other related OEM’s also highly desirable.
SPECIFIC SKILLS:
- In-depth knowledge of mathematics, statistics, and algorithms with superb analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Great communication and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively manage time and remain and organized.
- Proficiency in using data collection software, particularly Ignition data collection software and Squeaks real-time alert software
- Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decisions
- Ability to create, maintain, and update training documents to ensure consistent and effective training across manufacturing sites
- Experience working in cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions
