MISSION / SUMMARY:

This role will be specifically focused on master data standards for maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) materials for a new $600MM greenfield investment in a coated recycled board machine.

The mission of the Supply Chain MDM Analyst is to maintain material master data quality standards within SAP.  This position must maintain a high level of data and analysis integrity in the areas of material master, MRP settings, purchase info records, source lists, and other relative data elements.  The Supply Chain MDM Analyst will assist in SAP implementations including data conversion and data loads.  The position will maintain current and future master data standards.  Remediation of any data not in compliance with these standards will be a key function of this role as we continue to enhance our SAP system data quality.

This position is projected to be a two to three year assignment. At the conclusion of the assignment, the Company will make a good faith effort to identify opportunities for the incumbent to continue employment with the Company in another role.  If placement in another role is unsuccessful, the incumbent will be offered separation benefits in accordance with Company policy.

JOB FUNCTION: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following.

  • Provide assistance with data gathering, conversions, and training end users for ongoing SAP implementations and upgrades.  Provide post go live support as needed.
  • Provide cross-facility analysis for inventory reduction and storeroom optimization initiatives.
  • Identifies areas for data quality improvements and helps to resolve data quality issues through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies.
  • Ensures quality of master data in key systems, as well as development and documentation of processes with other functional data owners to support ongoing maintenance and data integrity.
  • Manages and analyzes data management, governance, and data quality of master data requirements to ensure functional master data integrity across the operation of financial systems is consistent and meets stated business rules and requirements.
  • Works closely with the business/IT to ensure alignment of master data rules and the operations of the application meet all requirements.
  • Maintain ongoing material master change management.
  • Other supply chain projects as assigned.

BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-5 years of supply chain experience in a manufacturing organization.
  • 3-5 years of SAP MDM experience specializing in Material Master.
  • Working knowledge of SAP Materials Management module (Procure to Pay and Storeroom) required.
  • One full-cycle SAP conversion experience preferred.

EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:

  • Must have Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative/analytical field - IT, engineering, finance, accounting, economics, statistics, supply chain or other technical related field.

SPECIFIC SKILLS:

  • Must have advanced technology utilization skills including an understanding of ERP systems (SAP required).
  • Previous experience working with ETL tools.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word & Access and ability to learn other software applications.
  • Proven ability to deconstruct and reconstruct data from multiple sources into meaningful information.
  • Strong attention to detail and an exceptional level of analysis accuracy.
  • Self-directed continuous improvement mindset, initiative and drive for results. Empowered, make it happen operational work ethic and initiative – sees it, says it, does it and owns the outcomes.
