MISSION / SUMMARY:

The business process supervisor will be the business lead for Project Unwind, the systems integration between SBS (GE1) and SUS(PRD). Supervisor will be able to clearly articulate the business needs rather than functionality in the system as GE1 transitions to PRD platform.  With a minimum effective design, it will be critical for the supervisor to be a forward and strategic thinker.  The supervisor will need to be a Subject Matter Expert in GE1 and have a strong understanding of PRD. Supervisor needs to be empowered to not only identify gaps and make decisions on critical (must have) tools but all be able to escalate needs with upper management. The ideal candidate is a team player looking forward to building a new platform.  Along with the business lead for Project Unwind, the supervisor will manage the SBS Export team. This team will consist of 3 Customer Advocates. The Supervisor will provide process expertise to tactical decisions regarding accounts daily including management of allocation across accounts. They will ensure integrity and sustainability of the process through excellent data management within SAP, process monitoring and training practices. Supervisors will continuously align the process with the Customer Advocates as they manage the overall order fulfillment processes to exceed customer expectations and align with GPI business, financial and operational objectives.

 

JOB FUNCTION: Job functions include but are not limited to the following.

  • Subject matter expert in GE1 and a strong understanding of PRD
  • Represent the business needs during Project Unwind workshop phase
  • Provide support during prototype and system testing by assisting with case scenarios, functionality questions and quick resolutions of issues surfaced
  • Identify solutions whether manual or automated that will close gaps
  • Organize Customer Advocate training
  • Lead Customer Advocate go-live
  • Understand, develop, and create a process for utilizing tool sets
  • Evaluate, change, and update tool sets as needed
  • Lead customer service resource on the One GPI Phase 2 Advanced Planning transformation
  • Mentors and trains new employees in SAP transactions, SBS and SUS supply chain processes, and customer advocate responsibilities through shadowing and on the job training to ensure a positive customer experience
  • Provides feedback on and assesses the performance of customer-related tasks by the customer advocates
  • Evaluates and appraises the customer advocate’s performance in regular one to ones
  • Responds to and manages customer concerns and complaints, being the first point of contact for issue escalation among customer advocates
  • Provides process expertise to tactical decisions regarding accounts daily including management of allocation across accounts.
  • Assists in root cause problem solving surrounding customer issues and concerns
  • Executes order close to ensure a clean order book and daily utilizes various reports to manage orders.
  • Actively pursues the use of NCP to meet order requirements and reduce NCP quantities by working with supply planners.
  • Manages order quantities to maximize shipping capabilities; determines the most cost-efficient shipping method; anticipates needs and proactively plans and manages accounts for order receipt; has a clear and solid understanding of processes and downstream impact on Company’s profitability.
  • Perform as key driver in communication process: initiating communication and integration with downstream partners.
  • Maintains a positive and proactive relationship with Sales, Logistics, Planning and Scheduling, Mill and Converting facilities.

BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience required 
  • Proven ability to construct clear and effective written and verbal communication internally and externally
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business or Supply Chain Management
  • Advanced knowledge of a global supply chain (demand planning, supply planning, warehouse and transportation, manufacturing)
  • Prior successful Customer Service experience, a proven track record of accomplishment in working in a team environment servicing internal and external customers
  • Demonstrates understanding of end to end supply chain operating model processes
  • Able to multi-task across several tasks and follows through appropriately to completion
  • A good team player, showing mutual respect and creating morale / spirit, sharing knowledge, demonstrating a willingness to learn, be a willing back up, actively participates in meetings, identifies continuous improvements, uses diplomacy and tact and treats others with respect and dignity
  • Ability to achieve results in a team environment
  • Ability to work under pressure, handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with SAP R/3 (GE1), BW, APO, PPR OMEGA and Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience with SAP PRD, Honeywell Optivision, and Panther
