Title:  Plant Engineer and Maintenance Manager

We are currently searching for a qualified and energetic Engineering and Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance department. This role is overseeing Engineering/Maintenance efforts across the complex and manage plant-wide maintenance and capital, maximizing asset reliability, uptime, and cost-effectiveness with available resources.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a 19  person team consisting of 1 maintenance supervisor, 1 planner, 1 storeroom clerk, and 16 technicians.
  • Drive continuous improvement of project management, equipment reliability, and product quality through engineering improvements and strategic maintenance.
  • Hands-on involvement with all PLC/Controls Programming projects (troubleshooting, modifying, upgrading, new programs).
  • Provided project management and engineering skills for the installation of capital equipment and modifications to existing equipment and production lines.
  • Utilized Reliability Centered Maintenance philosophy in creating a well-rounded combination of preventive/predictive maintenance activities.
  • Oversee equipment stock and place orders for new supplies when necessary.
  • Maintain effective liaison with outside suppliers, vendors, equipment manufacturers, and contractors.
  • Share responsibilities managing plant environmental programs to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations.
  • Represent the engineering and maintenance department on internal and external regulatory audits


Required Skills

  • Previous environmental experience is a plus


Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred
  • 7 years maintenance experience preferred including:
    • Computer Maintenance Management Systems (preferably SAP)
    • Planning and Scheduling
    • Preventative/Predictive/Precision Maintenance
    • Central Stores Management
    • Reliability Engineering
