CONTINUOUS TECHNICIAN SUMMARY:
The CI Tech completes accurate random inspections and quality testing starting with set up through the shipping process. He or she instructs production personnel on quality policies & procedures. They maintain accurate records of tests, inspections, and other information vital to quality control tracking. Identifies non-standard conditions, assists in corrective action, and confirms that corrective action is implemented. Periodically ensures that gauges and inspection equipment are in good working order and properly calibrated. He or she ensures compliance with established customer quality and production standards. They understand and align plant operations & production with the Sales Support group as he/she executes their role in the overall order fulfillment process to exceed customer expectations and align with GPI business, cultural, financial and operational objectives.
Primary Responsibilities are, but not limited to the following:
- Communicates with employees on proceeding and succeeding shifts to establish process stability and to ensure smooth transition between shifts.
- Verifies the quality of product visual assessment and random inspection using specific testing tools.
- Maintains accurate records of all tests and inspections.
- Responsible for understanding and adhering to all GMP, safety, food safety, SQF, HACCP and food defense procedures (Training will be provided)
- Responsible for other duties and essential tasks as they are needed.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- 5 years related trade school training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong Microsoft Office, Outlook, and internet skills required.
- Ability to accurately read measuring devices.
- Ability to accurately read product specifications and test procedures.
- Ability to read and follow detailed operating procedures and quality standards.
- Must work well independently or in groups.
- Leadership skills and ability to interact with others.
- Quality Control and or product inspection.
- Testing equipment experience to include measurements, weight, and durability.
- Auditing and or inventory.
