We are currently seeking an experienced 1st Printing Pressman to join our thriving Folding Carton Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Off-Set Printing and experience with Manroland or other Sheet Fed Presses. This position requires a candidate that is able to work in a fast-paced environment and is looking to learn and grow with our company.

Position Summary: Responsible for the overall quality of printing jobs as assigned, in addition to preventative care and maintenance to assigned equipment.


  • Reports to the shift supervisor and Printing Manager.
  • Check & run to production schedule.
  • Read job bag & work order, confirm size, style and copy information.
  • Get printing plates, die vinyl, and color target.
  • Check coating plate. Pack and/or make any necessary revisions.
  • Set up press to sheet specs
  • Set up ink rotation.
  • Ink up press and rollers. Register plates.
  • Check copy.
  • Check die vinyl and final position print to cut.
  • Get UPC okay
  • Get color ok, signature from shift supervisor.
  • Test coating viscosity.
  • Assist with wash-up, wash blankets, gum plates, etc.
  • Help train 2nd pressman operator & floater when needed
  • Knowledge of Job Hazard and Lockout procedure.
  • Perform quality checks a minimum of one sheet per load is to be checked. Recheck printed loads on the floor for quality defects, especially coating issues. Tag loads when defects are found.
  • Ability to adjust and monitor color on press.
  • Ability to use spectrodensitometer and explain readings.
  • Perform basic press maintenance.
  • Responsible for press housekeeping.
  • Comply with plant safety and PPE requirements.
  • Complete production reports and hourly management reports.
  • Report all food safety and quality problems to supervisor.
  • Associate is responsible to keep their work area clean, empty trash and sweep daily.
  • All other duties as assigned.
