JOB SUMMARY: The person who occupies this position ensures all required material is provided to the printing department for job runs. The role will support 1st and 2nd Pressmen’s in the Printing Department


JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following.


  • Verifies board stock is correct and matches job tickets.
  • Maintains appropriate material at the machines for consistent production flow.
  • Completes Feeder Consumption Reports, including how many sheets are on the job orders against what was produce.
  • Reports defects/safety concerns of equipment or Quality Team.
  • Lifts/carry's 30 pound buckets for make ready process and cleans rollers.
  • Loads paper board material into machine using electrical pallet jack.
  • Feeder Operators are responsible for performing a Make Ready in preparation for a job run; such as cleaning rollers one or more of the 8 machines if required.
  • Responsible for keeping the bottom rollers cleaned this can occur about every hour per the employee.
  • Communicate required information to work-workers and manager.
  • May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.



  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Must be flexible: Able to work all shifts, overtime and weekends when needed.
  • Ability to read basic measurements tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
  • Strong attention to detail.



  • May required High School Diploma or equivalent required.



  • Schedule is a 12-hour shifts (6 PM-6 AM) on alternate days with rotating weekends off.  However, employees must have the ability to work alternate schedules and overtime that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so.
  • Some Departments/Jobs may run a M-F 8-hour Shift Schedule.
  • Must be willing and able to work overtime.



  • Sitting or standing, depending on changing job assignment, for extended periods.
  • Awkward and/or repetitive movements.
  • Physical demands and visual activities that are commonly associated* with the performance of the functions of this job:
    • Standing, walking, lifting (up to 30-52 lbs.), carrying (same as lifting), pushing (up to 80 lbs.), pulling (up to 50 lbs.), stooping, bending, reaching, handling, forward reach, simple grasp, ability to communicate with press members, visual acuity (far and near, color vision).
  • Machines, Tools, Equipment, Software:
    • Electric hand truck, Pallets (up to 52 lbs.), Swords (48” in length less than 10 lbs.)
  • Work in areas of fluctuating temperature.
  • Inside Conditions noise (from printing presses and forklifts), vibration, odors and dust.
