Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Our machines are some of the fastest packaging machines in the world with the fastest product changeovers in the industry.  Our customers are among the most highly recognized, global, food and beverage brands.  An Electrical Design Engineer in the Packaging Machinery Division is required to manage tasks associated with electrical design and build of packaging machinery

Position Responsibilities:

• Responsible for complete electrical project management including scheduling, planning, machine power-up, test, debug, shipment and change orders.
• Control system design for manufacturing equipment including control panel engineering, PLC, Servo and HMI programming, and start-up support.
• Estimate engineering resource, parts and labor costs.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to be applied in design, programming, and troubleshooting of control systems.
• Must possess good communication and interpersonal skills, enabling the ability to interact with all levels of management, clients, and vendors.
• Machine system understanding, able to collaborate with Mechanical Engineers on what control features are required. Determine best control solutions with Mechanical Engineers.
• Develop project documentation, electrical schematics and program files for highly customized machines.
• Coordinate multiple assignments for on time completion of projects within budgets.
• Prioritize resources and delegate tasks. Track project progress schedule and cost on custom machinery.
• Attend customer check-outs and resolve detailed technical queries. Typical customer level interaction: Plant Managers, domestic and international operations.
• Work with manufacturing, service and customers to resolve machine problems.
• Perform other duties as required.

Position Requirements:

• Experience designing electrical systems/controls for dynamic mechanical timed mechanisms.
• B.S. Electrical Engineering or B.S. Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent required.
• Specific experience with Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens Servos, PLCs and HMIs, control panel design, and the configuration of industrial communication networks such as ethernet and/or profinet.
• 1-2 years of engineering experience with PLC , Servo and HMI automation applications and Project Management. 

Pay Range:   $69,540.00 - $92,720.00
