We are seeking an Associate Manager HRBP to join the Crosby, Minnesota manufacturing plant. As a part of the local leadership team, you will serve as a strategic business partner regarding all aspects of the plant operations. Ideal candidate will have previous human resources supervisory experience and possess an ability to effectively provide thought leadership to stakeholders This role will provide strategic HR consulting and services to the Packaging Machinery plant client group in support of achieving business results. Areas that are specifically targeted include: leadership and team effectiveness, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, leadership development, performance management, employee relations, recruitment, and compliance with HR policies and procedures.
Areas of responsibility include:
- Driving culture initiatives focused on increasing employee engagement.
- Has oversight and involvement in all hiring practices. Administers the hiring process for all employee groups. Attract and retain top talent by optimizing talent acquisition tools and infrastructure.
- Developing and implementing comprehensive development plans to support succession planning and bench strength.
- Oversees the Payroll and Benefits functions for the facility.
- Partners with the training team to support the on-boarding process and integration of employees.
- Developing comprehensive workforce planning strategies to support staffing and recruiting objectives to support operational needs.
- Provide recommendations regarding performance management, termination decisions and coaching while ensuring fairness.
- Providing employee relations counseling and problem solving for supervisors, managers, and employees to ensure a productive work environment, remaining consistent with company values, policies and in adherence to state and federal regulatory law.
- Responsible for recruitment and retention strategies.
- Provides reports to Site Leadership Team on a regular basis or as needed.
- Investigate and resolving employee concerns.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations concerning employment, company policies that affect employment and employee discipline
- Ability to respect and maintain confidential and sensitive information
- Provide recommendations regarding performance management, termination decisions and coaching while ensuring fairness
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively
- A deep understanding of business principles and the ability to translate HR strategies into tangible business outcomes.
- Conduct investigations including complaints of harassment, code violations and EEO issues and make recommendations to minimize company exposure
- Ensure the Human Resources organization’s strategic and tactical initiatives are effectively executed
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources/related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of Human Resources Management experience required with at least 2 years in a business partner role Manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
- PHR or SPHR certification preferred but not required.
- Comfortable in key leadership role - able to partner with site sr. leaders on decision making, operational planning and employee management.
- Demonstrated knowledge/experience of federal and state employment laws and other government compliance regulations.
- Proficiently in MS office suite – Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Word
- Demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate, and problem-solve effectively
- Strong critical thinking skills
Pay Range: $86,250.00 - $115,000.00
