POSITION SCOPE: The primary function of this position is to provide support for a wide range of facility needs such as product handling support for testing machines, keeping the assembly floor/work areas clean and orderly, packing up machines for shipment and managing test product & cartons in a neat and orderly fashion in test cells.

 This position requires overtime and Saturdays when needed. Must be self-motivated, flexible when asked to provide support throughout assembly and other areas of the plant, and able to interact with co-workers and customers in a professional manner.  

 POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform product handling during testing of machines
  • Maintain floors
  • Collect cardboard, transport it to compactor and operate compactor
  • Maintain bolt and pneumatic racks
  • Dispose of pallets
  • Pull and move racks to storage
  • Pull job racks
  • Maintain used packing materials
  • Keep test cells orderly
  • Dispose of used product
  • Perform parts washing for rebuilds
  • Facility maintenance as directed (vacuuming, painting, etc.)
  • Stockroom support as requested
  • Fab support as requested
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations•      Maintain good housekeeping and safe working conditions; operate equipment in a safe manner using proper personal protective equipment.
  • Recognize unsafe working conditions and report them immediately to the Group Leader or Supervisor.

EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous industrial experience preferred

SPECIFIC SKILLS:

  • Self-directed, strong initiative
  • Dependable
  • Mechanical aptitude is a plus
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds on a frequent basis, safely maneuver heavy objects and walk/stand for 8 or more hours
  • Must be available for overtime
