Title:  Production Scheduler/Planner - Packaging Machinery

The GPI Packaging Machinery division manufactures highly customized, high speed packaging machinery.  The Production Scheduler/Planner position is integral in planning and organizing material and machine capacity to fulfill our customer orders in a timely manner.

Responsibilities include processing Engineering releases, maintaining production orders, machine forecasts, bills of material, and calculating the required dates for various departments to meet the production schedule.  Also organizes, schedules and routes work orders throughout the shop.  This is a fast paced job that heavily utilizes our SAP manufacturing system for reporting and analysis. 


The qualified candidate should possess the following:

  • Post-secondary education in related field
  • Prior experience in a similar position
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Knowledge of machine shop work centers and ability to make decisions based on current workload
  • Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Experience with Manufacturing/Enterprise Resource Planning systems; specific SAP experience is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Ability to work overtime as required
