Title:  Technical Writer and Trainer - Packaging Machinery

Position Purpose:

The Sr. Technical Support Specialist is responsible for creating and delivering industry-leading technical documentation, training and support products/services for GPI packaging machinery to our global customers.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Draft and Finalize Technical Manuals and Procedures
  • Create and annotate supporting illustrations and graphics
  • Create and deliver training programs to customers
  • Process drawings and BOMs for PDF Print Viewer as needed
  • Assist in the development and delivery of Tablet products and services

Requirements:

  • Strong skills in one or more of the below Core Job Competencies:
    • Technical Writing
    • Technical Training
    • Technical Illustration, Photography and/or Videography
  • 5 years of experience working in packaging machinery or similar industry
  • Ability to read/interpret Engineering drawings and schematics
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to travel up to 25%, domestic and international
  • Knowledge of SmarTeam and Solidworks software or similar

Educational Requirements:

  • Minimum Technical or AAS degree in Engineering, Electrical/Mechanical Systems or related field
