Summary: The Manufacturing Analyst is responsible for ensuring production schedules and delivery timings are met while maintaining open communication with customer service, production, and logistics teams to manage inventory allocation, scheduling changes, and work orders. This role is also responsible for organizing and executing scheduling and capacity planning processes for various product lines and equipment. This role is intended to introduce you to our business and prepare you to take on a management position, as you will frequently interact with the operations manager and oversee floor employees.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, finance, business administration, or a related field, providing a solid educational foundation for data analysis and interpretation. 4+ years of demonstrated ability in a high-paced manufacturing environment with skills/knowledge listed below acceptable substitute for degree.
- 5 years manufacturing experience in flexible packaging preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in the folding carton industry is preferred. Specific knowledge of KBA, Bobst and other related OEM’s also highly desirable.
- Must possess knowledge of data science methodologies, statistics, and predictive modeling techniques. Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data insights into actionable strategies and decisions.
- Proficiency in using data collection software, particularly Ignition data collection software.
- Must have specialized scheduling training in planning and layout.
- Previous experience in creating visually compelling and interactive dashboards using QlikSense or similar BI tools preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly excel.
- SAP knowledge is a plus.
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills for efficient project management and documentation, particularly in the context of data analysis and visualization projects.
- Proven track record of effectively collaborating within cross-functional teams, driving data-driven initiatives and improvements.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating complex data findings and recommendations clearly and persuasively.
- Prior customer service experience is a plus.
Job Functions
- Scheduling & Coordination:
- Coordinate the scheduling of all machines, processes, and production activities within the plants.
- Update daily schedules to balance efficiencies and customer needs.
- Ensure scheduling maintains shipping commitments for effective customer service.
- Coordinate with the shipping department to meet customer needs.
- Create schedules for equipment and sheeter work order instructions.
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain appropriate safety stocks of finished goods and raw material inventories to maximize inventory turns and remain operational.
- Monitor slow-moving materials and identify obsolete materials for removal.
- Ensure the accuracy of raw material inventories and resolve discrepancies with the plant IPR.
- Assist in identifying uses for unallocated paperboard and utilize unallocated paperboard from other plants and warehouses.
- Material Procurement & Supplier Coordination:
- Utilize MRP to identify paperboard needs, enter purchase orders, and follow up with suppliers.
- Escalate paperboard needs with the Corporate Material Supply Team as needed.
- Maintain daily contact with suppliers for current material delivery status.
- Communicate with internal and external resources regarding paperboard transportation and delivery.
- Partner with production departments and scheduling to procure material to maximize equipment runs.
- Information Flow & Systems Support:
- Coordinate information flow to operating departments and production schedules.
- Coordinate with the Plant Information Systems Analyst to support integrated manufacturing software.
- Customer Service & Communication:
- Advise customer service of any unplanned delays.
- Coordinate and communicate paperboard timing with internal customer service reps.
- Participate in new and transfer business meetings.

Pay Range: $82,500.00 - $110,000.00
