The HR Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing day-to-day administrative support to the Human Resources department at the Elk Grove Village, IL plant.  Activities include: hourly payroll processing, recruitment support, new hire onboarding, attendance tracking, personnel file maintenance, general office coordination, etc. 

 

 JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following.

 

  • Serve as the first point of contact by greeting and assisting visitors, vendors, and employees in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Provide administrative support to HR team and assist with general HR functions.
  • Assist with payroll processing by verifying and auditing timesheets for accuracy. 
  • Assist with tracking of attendance and leaves of absences, including FMLA, short-term disability, and military leaves.
  • Assist with recruiting strategies for hourly positions by posting jobs, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
  • Prepare new hire packets, process onboarding paperwork, and coordinate orientations.
  • Assist HR Manager regarding employee relations issues.
  • Coordinate background investigations and other pre- employment requirements.
  • Maintain all records and files as required by plant/company policy and Federal and State laws.
  • Coordinate employee egagement events and recognition programs.
  • Process HR related invoices.
  • Answer employee questions on payroll, leaves of absence, and other company policies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

  Safe Quality Food Responsibilities for all employees:

 

  • Follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods.
  • Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures.
  • Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required.
  • Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
  • Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation.

Pay Range:   $48,000.00
 - $60,000.00
