Title:  Human Resources Complex Manager

JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following.

  • Provide employee & labor relations counseling and problem-solving for managers and employees ensuring a productive work environment, consistent with company values and policies and in adherence to state and federal regulatory law
  • Provide advice, counseling, and training to managers and supervisors on performance-based issues including corrective action plans, training gaps, terminations, and severance agreements
  • Career development planning and execution for direct reports
  • Investigate employee relation issues such as employee grievances and complaints, harassment allegations and recommend appropriate action
  • Manage the areas of employment, affirmative action, employee benefits, compensation, performance appraisal programs, personnel record keeping, unemployment claims and employee relations, training, and HRIS for the operating location assigned to
  • Participate in continuous improvement (Lean, Gemba, Kaisen, etc.) efforts throughout the facility
  • Manage affirmative action programs including implementing and providing training to management regarding AA goals
  • Develop recruiting strategies for hourly and salaried positions. Coordinates and fully participates in the recruiting and selection process
  • Partners with leadership to identify and determine management development needs
  • Manages and coordinates site succession and workforce planning efforts
  • Oversee an additional site(s) ensuring it/they function with the same goals and objectives stated above
  • Ensure union-free sites remain the same
  • Participates on HR annual improvement projects designed to improve HR business effectiveness

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field, Masters preferred
  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred
  • External candidates must have a minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of experience managing Human Resources in a non-union manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing multiple human resources generalist disciplines at all levels from production to professional level employees
  • Prior experience supervising exempt and nonexempt direct reports.
  • Demonstrated Business Partner skills blending the right mix of HR and Operations focus
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Labor Relations
  • Demonstrated knowledge of union avoidance strategies
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Culture assessments and Continuous Improvement/Lean processes
  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state employment laws and other government compliance regulations
  • Bilingual Skills (Spanish) are highly desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office-Excel
