This position is responsible for providing direct supervision, technical direction, administrative support, and leadership for the maintenance department. It also assists in plant cost savings initiatives.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Ensures machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the building does not deteriorate.
  • Manage plant-wide maintenance and capital, maximizing asset reliability, uptime, and cost effectiveness with available resources
  • Manage plant environmental programs to ensure compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations
  • Support and manage the RCM process in the plant, as well as, in the Division, ensuring application and advancement of the RCM process.
  • Provide long-range planning for facility and equipment needs including capital and major repairs
  • Develops, implements, and oversees predictive, preventative, and corrective maintenance programs
  • Coaches and develops training plans for all maintenance technicians
  • Supervises the Maintenance Leads, Storeroom, and Planner/Scheduler
  • Qualify Vendors and Contractors and negotiate terms and conditions
  • Shares an obligation to protect and strengthen Graphic Packaging International’s good reputation in our relationships with customers, employees, suppliers, competitors, investors, and governmental agencies, and to act consistently with our core values: Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Relationships, and Teamwork

Required Skills

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred
  • 5 years maintenance experience preferred including:
    • Computer Maintenance Management Systems (preferably SAP)
    • Planning and Scheduling
    • Preventative/Predictive/Precision Maintenance
    • Central Stores Management
    • Reliability Engineering
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and internet research skills
  • PLC/Controls Programming
  • Project Management
  • Leader with exceptional communication skills, good organization, and the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Previous environmental experience is a plus
