POSITION SCOPE:

We are looking for a talented, energetic Plant Leader to drive continuous improvement and optimization of all processes. The Plant leader is responsible for the management of all plant activities related to safety, quality, and productivity. This position is responsible for meeting the needs of the customers, while maximizing operational effectiveness.   This position will provide daily direction and leadership to all departments and ensure compliance to all Company policies and procedures.  The Plant Leader is responsible for monitoring performance, setting expectations, and development of staff.

 POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations
  • Improved operational effectiveness
  • Using Lean manufacturing concepts initiate plans and process which minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of staff, equipment, facilities, materials and capital
  • Ensure that customer specifications are consistently met or exceeded
  • Implement manufacturing strategies and action plans to ensure that the facility supports strategic initiatives
  • Manage spending against budget and in relation to changes in production volume.
  • Meet or exceed standards for environmental, safety, working conditions and cleanliness
  • Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation.
  • Responsible for the verification of SQF controls and meeting the standards of the SQF requirements.

Develop and implement comprehensive plans to develop employees

  • Identify areas of vulnerability and development action plan to address
  • Establish group and individual accountabilities
  • Address talent deficiencies using established methods

Drive Culture initiatives that focus on engaging our employees and increasing employee engagement.

  • Drive continuous progress against culture action plans and support the implementation of countermeasures where appropriate
  • Maintain good management/union relationship
  • Facilitate and drive Division Lean initiatives, regular communication meetings and employee recognition activities .

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business or engineering is required along with a minimum of five years operational management experience within the manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and managerial attributes. Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong aptitude for root cause analysis and troubleshooting operational issues
  • Demonstrated supervisory and project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate process improvement teams
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to motivate people
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook and Internet skills
  • Lean Manufacturing experiences a plus

 

Pay Range:   $156,970.00 - $209,220.00
