JOB TITLE	Finishing Helper

JOB DESCRIPTION	Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Participates in overall product outcome associated with Gluers. Interprets and documents standards related to product performance and quality. Assists in the maintenance and set up of equipment for customer product. Abides all Plant Rules, Processes, Hygiene and Allergen Procedures related to the production of Safe Quality Foods and Good Manufacturing Practices. Safe Quality Foods Follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods. Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures. Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required. Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF). Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation. Must be able to operate and be familiar with the Gluer requirements. Must be become familiar with technical aspects of Gluer and be able to troubleshoot if needed. Must be able to assist with CI sorting. Must be or become familiar with SAP, Ignition, RFGen and other software systems. Must be able to work towards achieving Finishing Dept. goals. Performs other organizational duties as required. Must take direction from Shift Supervisor, Lead and Finishing Operator. Must complete skill validation requirements for the Finishing Helper job.
REQUIRED SKILLS	Position Requirements: High school diploma or GED Self-Motivated Good attendance Problem solving/critical thinking Make-ready operations Leary operations Computer literate Feeder, packer and case sealer qualified. Organizational skills Work well with others and alone Communication while being open to giving and receiving critiques Desired Qualifications: Display work habits that set an example for peers. Prior manufacturing experience Work with others to help improve efficiency in various tasks Mechanical aptitude In the event of absence, the Finishing Operator(s) would backfill this role. The candidate must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without a reasonable accommodation. PHYSICAL DEMANDS	Physical Demands: Must be in good physical condition. Proper lifting techniques. More than 50 lbs requires a team lift. Bend at the knee Requires extended amounts of time bending, pulling, walking, standing and lifting.
